Step into the light.
An informative and profound report by Caitlin Johnstone, May 27, 2017. Included in this report is an in depth interview with Vanessa Beeley.
SYRIA: You Only Hate Assad Because Your TV Told You To
“What we’ve been undergoing to a large extent is a form of psychological abuse, actually, by very narcissistic, hegemonic governments and officials for a very long time. It’s a form of gaslighting where actually our own faith in our ability to judge a situation, and to some extent even our own identity, has been eroded and damaged to the point where we’re effectively accepting their version of reality.” ~ Vanessa Beeley
...
Independent investigative journalist Vanessa Beeley has emerged from her latest trip to Syria burning with a new kind of fire. There’s something in her voice and the posture she now takes which conveys a new kind of authority, a sense that she has now seen enough and gathered enough evidence to observe unmasked the full picture of this monster of deceit she’s been fighting.
...
Is it possible that there is a power establishment governing your country which is so evil that it would engineer the deaths of children in a false flag attack to manufacture consent for a strategically valuable regime change it’s been seeking for decades? It’s uncomfortable to consider this possibility.Much easier to believe there’s a depraved nutcase foreigner hurling chemical weapons and barrel bombs at civilians willy nilly who needs to be taken out by Good Guys. Much more difficult to do the rigorous intellectual and emotional work needed to escape from the institutional brainwashing Vanessa Beeley describes in her article “Gaslighting: State Mind Control and Abusive Narcissism” and do the necessary research to get a clear picture of what is going on. But you undeniably have the ability to make that choice, here and now as you finish this article.
Are you the sort of person who can face uncomfortable truths and revise their worldview accordingly, or the type who compartmentalizes and avoids them for the sake of cognitive comfort?
Step into the light.

For what it is worth
that link flashed a security alert and froze up my computer twice.
I will check out the video, not sure I will be able to read Caitlyn's take on it.

I went there.
For what it is worth, it was fine. It isn't Caitlin's site. It just isn't a secure site like c99 wasn't a secure site for a long time. That is likely why your browser is warning you.

21st Century Wire posts some very interesting stories that fail to get published by MSM.
A key part of Caitlin's report is Vanessa Beeley's report:

I've noticed many people when talking about the U.S. war in Syria will make it a point to say that "Assad is evil and must go, but . " They feel the need to not go against the overwhelming narrative painted by the government and the oligarchy's media.
It's like 9/11. I was going to write an essay about Seth Rich and 9/11. People become almost rabid about Seth Rich and the DNC but when it comes to 9/11, remain silent. They don't want to step into that light. Even Johnstone does it, she was saying how the Seth Rich case is so important and needs to stay in the limelight because it can bring the DNC down. What about 9/11?
@Big Al I would bet most people
Yes, it looks like controlled demolition to me. I'm not expert enough to say whether it actually was.
Yes, it was suspicious, even in NYC, that people were able to get perfectly framed shots of the disaster out of their apartment windows, in the moment of the disaster happening. Given that it's NYC, I guess it's possible that there were enough aspiring filmmakers with cameras around to get the footage, but it wouldn't be my first reaction if a building had been flown into by a jet and people were dying. The impulse to record a horrific event does seem to trump other responses for some people. But the professional quality of the shots seemed suspicious to me at the time, and still does.
Even if everything else were on the up-and-up, why did the investigation into the hijackers (before 9/11 happened) get stonewalled at Justice? We know of at least two instances where FBI agents were literally on the track of people who ended up hijacking planes, but there was, shall we say, a disconnect between the work of those agents and the people who ran the Justice Department, and the agents' work did not percolate up to the higher levels. As I recall, one of them, Colleen Rowlins, became a whistleblower of sorts.
Even if everything else were on the up-and-up, why did the Bush administration sit on a report entitled Bin Laden Determined to Strike Targets Within U.S., a report that included the possibility of using planes as weapons?
Most importantly of all, as Gore Vidal said (among other things) why did the U.S.' air defenses all along the Eastern Seaboard fail to scramble jets per their standing orders to do so as soon as a plane goes off its scheduled course? And why was there no accountability for this failure? As Vidal also said, "In my day, such a thing would have been occasion for a court-martial."

Richard Perle knows the truth of 9/11
Belatedly: And did he tell the truth and can he prove it? /nt
https://www.euronews.com/live
Oh no, now I googled Richard Perle and 9/11
and I don't remember where I saw this, hopping and clicking around (oh, it was on the medium.com site of Caitlin Johnstone):
So, I am reminded of my mother-in-law, who told me a trick how to handle a kid, that gets on your nerves, because it wants to have chocolate and tramples on your nerves demanding it all the time. Give the kid lots of chocolate and make the kid eat it. After a while it can't stand chocolate anymore. And mom gets her peace. And the kid is programmed to get stomach cramps just thinking about chocolate.
So, isn't the online world of news and blogs etc all the chocolate my brain wants to consume? So, the www is giving it to me ... and I ate too much til my body can't stand it anymore and throws up just thinking about the next news video.
Well, I think 9/11 was an accident. Someone screwed up and trusted the wrong source. Nobody wants to admit it. Deny it til we all are dead and then you can read all the "truth" in the history books of the future.
My advice: Never study history.

And isn't Caitlin Johnstone's chocolate offerings
extra delicious? I am eating her's like crazy. Now I am "programmed". She and me, we are both part of the system. And it's not funny.
Just saying and to be clear.

Or
whether the idea that powerful interests would murder someone who was about to provide evidence in a lawsuit about exit polling in the primaries.

Seth Rich is not the first "convenient" death
There was also the "convenient" accident that took out the guy who was blowing the whistle about black-box voting shenanigans in Ohio in 2004, as I recall. (I can't think of his name offhand, unfortunately - senior-itis.)
There is no justice. There can be no peace.
Big Al, I keep my thoughts
about 9/11 pretty much to myself, so as not to suffer the conspiracy theorist shaming that would ensue.
On the other hand, I do not believe a word in the official accounts of it.
I see the consequences of Homeland Security, the NSA, our loss of privacy, the militarization of police, wars all over the damn globe, torture, black sites, criminalization of whistleblowers, and on and on...
We were not a great democracy before 9/11, but we aren't a democracy at all since then.
"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." ---- William Casey, CIA Director, 1981
9/11 is everything at this point which is why they work so
To me, that's what separates the wheat from the chafe when it comes to the revolution. People that either believe the official story or will not consider "uncomfortable truths" about 9/11 are not going to be on the right side of the revolution. They're either too stupid, too brainwashed or too chickenshit.
The revolution, that is coming. Yep.
But then one would
have to believe that there were more than Lee Harvey Oswald involved in the JFK assassination, and we all know that is horse$h!t. amirite? amirite?

Some theories *are* pretty far out
However, the dump also holds the opinion (which I share) that BushCo had their collective heads so far up their asses that they didn't believe anything *could* happen that they didn't want and intend to happen - and they were shell-shocked to find just how appallingly wrong they were.
There is no justice. There can be no peace.
@TheOtherMaven I'm one of those
However, I'm not prepared to state conclusively that the demolition theory doesn't have legs; it looks to me like it might.
I haven't pursued that because, once you acknowledge that the government is willing to sit on its hands and allow their people to be slaughtered in a foreign attack on its soil, it no longer matters. What's the difference whether they're willing to let foreigners come over here and kill us or whether they themselves actively arranged for us to be killed, in pursuit of justification for all the wars and police state bullshit they wanted?

Exactly.
The difference between LIHOP theorists, who believe our government Let It Happen On Purpose, and MIHOP theorists, who believe they Made It Happen On Purpose, is pretty thin. I mean, if you allowed it to happen, knowingly, you helped to make it happen.
But yes, there is a difference between LIHOP persons like myself and those who believe there were no hijackers and that there was no involvement by jihadists or the Saudi princes.
I eventually came to believe that the PNAC announcement in advance of the necessity of such an attack was not so much a call for someone to do it but a mea culpa, a realization that at some point their involvement would be found out and that their reason for enabling it was explained by their many position papers.
Thanks CB.
I watched it/read it and probably would not have found it had you not put it here.

The answer to this question is
Operation Northwoods
Funny how that information was never discussed by the media when this article was published in May, 2001. Or maybe it was and I missed reading it.
I wonder if more people knew about this just 4 months before the 9/11 attacks, would people have put two and two together and question if that was what happened on that day?

I would say
to your question,
Yes, I think more people would have seen it that way.
