Some more Establishment Democrat nastiness
That's from an editor at Ms. the feminist magazine.
I guess having the correct genitals makes all the difference.
Also, everyone's favorite person, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, has some advice to give.
Warren, a possible presidential candidate in 2020, said she was "troubled" by Obama's decision, and Sanders, a former Democratic presidential candidate, told CNN it was "not a good idea" and "distasteful."
After being shown both criticisms during an interview on CNN's "Erin Burnett OutFront," Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz fired back that "it is none of anyone's business what someone who is a member of the private sector decides to accept in terms of compensation."
"With all due respect to anyone who chooses to comment publicly on what Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, or anyone earns as a member of the private sector," she said, "it's just, like, MYOB -- it's none of your business."
Wasserman Schultz said that Obama and Clinton, who also faced criticism for paid speeches to Wall Street, both have "pristine" public records. "They both fought back against the big banks, and their practices, and I have every confidence in the service they both provided."
Yes, I have every confidence that they were serviced too.
Meanwhile, left-wing candidates keep doing well in Red States.
Progressive attorney and activist Chokwe Antar Lumumba defeated incumbent Mayor Tony Yarber in the Democratic primary on Tuesday ― virtually assuring his ascent to power in the heavily Democratic city of Jackson, Mississippi.Lumumba secured 55 percent of the vote, avoiding a runoff. The general election is on June 6, when Lumumba is expected to easily defeat Republican, third-party and independent candidates...
Lumumba, 34, ran on a platform of investing more in education, reinstating a 1 percent sales tax to rebuild the city’s aging infrastructure, and reducing crime through community engagement. He is a founder of Cooperation Jackson, an organization that’s trying to create a network of worker-owned cooperatives throughout the city. As mayor, he plans to start an incubator for local businesses that includes such cooperatives.
That wasn't supposed to happen.

So much worse than that cartoon shows. banksters got
bailed out and immunized, even though (1) they had to have known that crap mortgage derivatives were going to collapse economies around the world, including ours and (2) they conducted illegal foreclosures like thugs.
The cartoon shows only that they got away with it. It doesn't show the piles of money they made from selling crap derivatives and the money they got in the bailout and the money in legal fees and settlements the immunity saved them and--and this may be the biggest number of all-- the fortune they were able to make because the Fed has kept interest rates close to zero for years.
Oh, yeah, I forgot. We made a profit on the bailout.

Whether these boneheaded broads like it or not, Hillary Clinton will never be President. Nor will anyone like her be. If they ever want a woman to occupy the nation's highest office, they'll dump her and her neoliberal conserva "Dem" bullshit like the bullshit that they are. These have been carefully weighed by the American People and found wanting.
The only reason Her Heinous got as many votes as she did was that she had Herr Drumpfenfuhrer as her opponent. In a genuinely honest election with a serious, qualified opponent, she would never have seen the light of day.

Ms. Magazine is supposed to be feminist?
Sure, boardroom or corporate feminist, perhaps, like Christina Hoff Summers or Gloria Steinem. Meanwhile, I doubt Carmen Rios has ever had to spend even a moment in the trenches fighting for things she and so many others take for granted.

She appears to be too young to have "been there" when the bulk of those wars were fought in the 1960s and 1970s. To have "been there", she would have had to have been old enough to vote for at least some of that time. It's obvious she wasn't even born yet in those days.

I came of voting age in 1976, and was involved in protest actions from the age of 11 onwards. From the photos I've been able to see, I would be profoundly surprised if Carmen Rios was old enough to read in 1990.
And you're right: we (all progressives) really did "have a real movement then". Folks like me who demonstrated for peace, for a full economic and civil life for everyone, and against unlimited nuclear power and weapons had real solidarity with women who demanded reproductive control over themselves, equal pay for equal work and other such self-determination issues. We marched together, acted together, and actually got some shit changed. (And yes, I definitely count you among that "we", CSTMS!)
I know you share my utter despair and frustration facing the fact that we have to do it all over again -- a situation that a bevy of women, led by Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and Hillary Clinton, are working overtime to perpetuate. After all, they've got theirs, amirite?

In their eagerness to serve Hillary, Steinem, founder of Ms.,
and Madeleine Albright both befouled themselves, especially their feminist cred.
A special place in hell for women who don't vote their vaginas instead of their conscience? Are you effing kidding me. How is it feminist to threaten women who don't for a President solely on the basis of genitalia when they think the male candidate is superior? Is that what feminism is about? voting against the candidate you believe is best because he is not a woman? Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot. Madame Secretary Albright. And, from the founder of Ms.: The only explanation for females supporting Sanders is not their conscience, their intelligence, their heart for the 100%, but their desire to be where the boys (read misogynistic Bernie Bros) are. Dear Dems: You lost the WH, Senate, House, dozens of governors, state level SOS and AG and about 1,000 state legislative seats. Maybe...you're doing something wrong.
Who's to say that politicians,
as members of the private sector, shouldn't be able to make as much money as they want to? Mr.Obama and Mrs.Clinton are just regular American folks, same as you and me -- they'll even tell you so themselves. They just happen to live in better neighborhoods that's all. It's not their fault if bankers keep giving them so much money. I mean if a bank wanted to give you half a million dollars, wouldn't you accept it? Of course you would. So Debbie Wassel-Twassel is right, and we shouldn't pick on these nice people and be envious of them, just because they are getting lots and lots of money.

Rios' Tweet about Bernie Sanders, and how she wants him to "retire or die":
She knows she, and Her Heinous, and all of her horses and all of her women, can't defeat the ideas and policies Bernie stood for in 2016.
Not even if she, or Her Heinous, runs on them herself. We know we can't trust any of these women around the proverbial glass corner, and we vote accordingly.
So Rios wants Bernie to retire or die, because she knows she can't defeat him in a fair contest.

Holy shit! The editor of Ms. is a troll!
She just trolled us! FFS! The editor of Ms. just acted like the most common garden-variety flamefest-igniting troll!
It's like the first time I read that a United States Senator said this:
SANTORUM: We have laws in states, like the one at the Supreme Court right now, that has sodomy laws and they were there for a purpose. Because, again, I would argue, they undermine the basic tenets of our society and the family. And if the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything. Does that undermine the fabric of our society? I would argue yes, it does. It all comes from, I would argue, this right to privacy that doesn't exist in my opinion in the United States Constitution, this right that was created, it was created in Griswold — Griswold was the contraceptive case — and abortion. And now we're just extending it out. And the further you extend it out, the more you — this freedom actually intervenes and affects the family. You say, well, it's my individual freedom. Yes, but it destroys the basic unit of our society because it condones behavior that's antithetical to strong healthy families. Whether it's polygamy, whether it's adultery, where it's sodomy, all of those things, are antithetical to a healthy, stable, traditional family.
Every society in the history of man has upheld the institution of marriage as a bond between a man and a woman. Why? Because society is based on one thing: that society is based on the future of the society. And that's what? Children. Monogamous relationships. In every society, the definition of marriage has not ever to my knowledge included homosexuality. That's not to pick on homosexuality. It's not, you know, man on child, man on dog, or whatever the case may be. It is one thing. And when you destroy that you have a dramatic impact on the quality —
AP: I'm sorry, I didn't think I was going to talk about "man on dog" with a United States senator, it's sort of freaking me out.
Having the editor of Ms. magazine act like a common troll (internetus putrificans) while not quite as stunning as having a sitting U.S. Senator say "man on dog" to the press, is in the same ballpark.
