cosmo's factory had a bunch of charting hits on it that kept radio stations busy for a while, which is why so much of the album sounds familiar i would imagine.

thanks! the weekend was pretty great. we has some slightly cooler weather that seems to be meandering towards feeling a little like fall. it was nice to get outside and enjoy it.

heh, why choose between cosmo's factory and green river? listen to both of them. leon redbone did a great job of mining the popular music of prior generations and delivering it with style. i saw him for the first time on teevee and really dug it.

the stray cats sounds like fun, they put on a great show. you ought to tag along with the neighbor.

and artistes! Big Joe Turner, Taj Mahal, and now today's musical goodies!!! Cosmos Factory is an iconic classic!!!! I'm still partial to Green River, though. Just seeing the name Leon Redbone makes me chuckle. i would always get a kick out of listening to him. He had a real subtle sly note in his music. To me, anyway. My next door neighbor just saw Devo recently at the Hard Rock down here. They did the whole deal including the costuming. I always liked them and Kraftwerk. He said tix were halfway decent price-wise. He's going to see the Stray Cats there soon. He's much younger than moi, but a music junkie like me who prefers vinyl and analog over digital. Anywho, thanks yet again, and Rec'd!!
