ROFLMFAO Tony Blair WTF?

Self publicist supremo, Gee Dubya's poodle and well known lying warmongering ass-hole Tony Blair brings you:

Tony Blair is launching a “new policy platform to refill the wide open space in the middle of politics” aimed at combating a “frightening authoritarian populism” that he says is undermining the west’s belief in democracy.

The former prime minister said his new Institute for Global Change was more than a thinktank since it would aim to arm front-rank politicians with strategies and policies to rebuild the centre, and combat populism caused by a cultural and economic revolt against the effects of globalisation.

Oh dear god, whether to laugh or cry?

Just what we need to fight a bunch of lying warmongering ass-holes another lying warmongering ass-hole.

These people amaze me, don't they even consider their own credibility, silly question I know, their ego rules the roost. Shame that what we end up with is more chickenshit being sold by a smiling shark.

Don't worry our dashing hero Tony is here to save neo-liberals around the world!

Give us a smile and everything will be alright!

Bwahahahaha.

Because globalism is good for corporations, and corporations are people, my friend! Therefore Globalism is good for people, and since you're a person, it's good for YOU!

Yes, there is a large amount of snark here.

@detroitmechworks

He said he was aware that there would be people who would reject his initiative because of the Iraq war, but urged them to listen to the arguments.

Please, please forget, I have more bullshit to sell ya!

A riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma

was in her way. Blair saw the opportunity to sell out the working class Labour base and move the party into the traditional Tory space vacated by the Thatcherites who went all in for the pretend economics embodied by the U of Chicago goons.

Too bad he's still around. He'll be a good foil for Corbyn though, so it's not all negative.

They can never retire, must always go for another round of reinvention that may require a different speechwriter.

Best comeback might be: 'Tony Blair? I thought he died'.

Because you said Tony Blair. Thanks. Here's a link to Century of the Self Part 3, Sir Lapdog appears about 59 seconds in. Him and Clinton are creating "new and better forms of democracy" lol. I think each episode is about one hour, the whole thing is good and frightening, I think.

At this point their only legacy is the Good Friday Agreement.

So, you know, their rank opportunism paid off once.

But Tony Blair may be even worse than the Clintons.

Pretty-boyism - -

A pretty face does not necessarily mean an empty head -
But in the case of Tony Blair, it does. (But not an empty wallet)

Blair was, however, quite smart to recognize early on
that a low-information, 5 second attention span audience would be an easy mark.
So he just keeps flashing the idiotic grin.

he was the poodle of Bush the Lesser:

In 1991, the Reverend Jesse Jackson called the DLC “Democrats for the Leisure Class,” and in 2003, former Democratic National Committee Chair and Vermont Governor Howard Dean sharply criticized From and the DLC as the Republican wing of the Democratic Party.[14][15]

From played a prominent role in the 1992 election of President Bill Clinton – and served as Domestic Policy Advisor to the Clinton Transition – prompting USA Today to write: "The ideas at the crux of the Clinton candidacy were largely drafted by the DLC."[16]

Today, many of the ideas that comprise the core of the Democratic Party's agenda come from work done under From's leadership at the DLC. National service, an expanded Earned Income Tax Credit, welfare reform, charter schools, community policing, expanded trade and re-inventing government were all championed by scholars and analysts at the DLC before becoming public policy.[17]

In 1998, with First Lady Hillary Clinton, From began a dialogue with British Prime Minister Tony Blair and other world leaders, and the DLC brand – known as The Third Way – became a model for resurgent liberal governments around the globe.[18]

In April 1999, he hosted an historic Third Way forum in Washington with President Clinton, Prime Minister Blair, German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, Prime Ministers Wim Kok of the Netherlands and Massimo D'Alema of Italy.[19]

And, like From and the Clintons, Blair is cynical, disingenuous and dishonest. No gaping hole exists in the middle of politics, where both corporatist neoliberals/neocons live. There is also no gaping hole on the right, where more corporatists live. The gaping hole in politics is where politics for most people, not just for multi-millionaires and billionaires, should be, but nothing is there.

Most people cannot afford to pay to play, as can big business and the wealthy. Hence no corrupt politicians bother with them; and the corrupt politicians, along with corporate media, freeze out honest politicians. One of the few things President Stopped Clock got right is that politics is rigged against everybody but plutocrats.

governance by members of The Big Club to those aspiring to membership in The Big Club. Blair and others of his ilk provide intros and references to get into the fraternity of the I Got Mine Club. You gotta know someone who knows someone in other words. (Just my opinion of course)
