Clinton Global Initiative Apparently Tanks

I haven't seen anything about CGI here or Common Dreams.
Apparently, the Clintons are closing the CGI. Funding is down. Some excerpts from one article:

But as soon as Clinton lost the election, many of the criticisms directed toward the Clinton Foundation were reaffirmed. Foreign governments began pulling out of annual donations, signaling the organization’s clout was predicated on donor access to the Clintons, rather than its philanthropic work. In November, the Australian government confirmed it “has not renewed any of its partnerships with the scandal-plagued Clinton Foundation, effectively ending 10 years of taxpayer-funded contributions worth more than $88 million.” The government of Norway also drastically reduced their annual donations, which reached $20 million a year in 2015.

WikiLeaks revealed several criticisms of the Clinton Foundation were true, as pay-to-play schemes and the foundation’s corrupt management were exposed. On October 26, The Washington Post reported a memo detailed how the Clinton Foundation was used to boost Bill Clinton’s income.

The Clinton Foundation‘s downward trajectory ever since since Hillary Clinton’s election loss provides further testimony to claims that the organization was built on greed and the lust for power and wealth—not charity.
I am so glad the Clintons are tanking; their leadership badly damaged the democratic party. I hope any power they still have in the dem party quickly diminishes.

Yes, I saw an article
at Yahoo, of all places, a couple of days ago, but I was traveling and did not have time to write about it. This is why the Clintons are so desperate to get back into the political arena in some way. Without their political power, the money flowing through their foundation into their personal bank accounts would dry up. It dried up even faster than anyone expected.
I have read that there are still four open investigations into the foundation and the Clintons. The CGI is a criminal enterprise by which money was laundered. I hope somehow the Clintons get nailed for it.

reporting on this several days ago. I just assumed this was an an inevitability, like the sun rising in the east.

I told them that back in January, in a followup to a diary from Dartagnan that cited one of the most revealing journalistic pieces of the year. The evidence was so overwhelming, and the case was so strong over there, that the usual Clinton flying monkeys mostly flew away and hid. Essays like that were shortly not welcome over there.
The Clinton Family Business model crashed and burned with Hillary's loss. Chelsea ain't bringing it back. If Jared Kushner's rag is printing this story, it portends more woe to come for the Clintons. Hopefully a lot will rub off on their sponsors and bagmen. If Trump threw a lot of them in jail, it might be the only good thing he'd do for the country.

Actually, I doubt if she and Bubba will get any speech invites. If they do, it will be some rich donor giving them a hand out. But how will they manage not having an income stream and not being in power after 25 years or so?

Damn, they'll be cut off of the Clinton Fundation source and bribes while probably down to their last hundred million or so - how are they supposed to manage retirement on that kind of money?
