Julian Assange, Wikileaks founder, had scheduled a balcony announcement from the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, and with articles circulating that Hillary Clinton had proposed a drone strike on Assange, cancelled that appearance due to "security concerns', moved it to a video announcement in Berlin (from the Ecuadorian Embassy in London) at at 8 AM local time -- 3 AM New York time, only to say that there we be more leaks dribbled out over the next ten weeks.

People have short memories around here. He said in June and July he had evidence to indict clinton but the DOJ likely wouldn't do it. Youtube is full of these videos. Even after the DNC dump he said he had evidence to indict clinton. Fuck him and the horse he rode in on for pissing backwards. If he's cutting a deal then good for him but as far as I can see he's a lying sack of shit.
I recall looking this up when it first
started appearing. All of the videos are people "quoting" Assange. There are no videos of him saying it in an interview, or tweets by him, etc. If he said it, why don't they show him saying it? Not too many people would interview him and not have a camera. Most or all of his interviews are by video since he can't leave the embassy. Just going by recollection, I did see him talking about it, and sure don't recall exactly what he said, but he did not say he had information that would lead to her indictment.
People blow everything he says up out of proportion, just like they did his announcement that he would have a press conference to talk about Wikileaks' 10 year anniversary.

He said the leaks that were coming will be "interesting". That's all he said to set expectations.
So I don't know why people set their own expectations at October Surprise level.

Wikileaks provides evidence of what's actually going on - speculation regarding which is otherwise termed 'conspiracy theories' even when the circumstantial evidence would be sufficient to put a regular citizen in prison.
Wikileaks helps to make the public aware of what's being done to people, various countries and the planet by actual conspiracies of various sick/greedy people involving corrupt military/public officials and even whole governments and those infiltrating/funding/controlling them.
If the public does not vote for evil, the results of cheating can be fought, with the potential at the least to have a false 'winner' unrecognized by other countries and unable to interact with their leaders - in this case to, no doubt, their great relief.
Electoral cheating doesn't have to be 'left to stand as a done deal' and shouldn't be.
