Happy Thanksgiving!
It's Thanksgiving! Everyone should have a happy holiday and lots of good times and fun! I know some of us will be with a lot of people (Hi earthling1 
) and others, like me, will be with their partner and... well, I do have family around today. I have an adolescent dog, and some lovely goats, and some wonderful old cats and chickens!
Ohh and 'Shrooms, we have 'Shrooms!
We are definitely doing a special dinner for Thanksgiving (steaks instead of turkey and we'll do all the usual t-day fixings like stuffing and cranberry sauce. I know, I'm weird), even if it's only two of us, err, three sez Nikko, ummm, five if we include the cats. And they definitely want to be included. The goats are vegetarians, so they only get part of the meal; the chickens can have their left overs!
Nikko a week or so ago. He's eagerly awaiting Thanksgiving, or whatever as long as there is fun and food!

The problem, of course, is that Democrats do not communicate, and so they won't listen to advice. Their pretenses of saying something are mere talking points (and, therefore, mere entertainment devices: see e.g. Beyonce), and they don't listen so much as they accumulate and spend money. So the Dem rank and file needs to be told this: anything you may have gotten into your heads about being able to communicate with the leadership of your sacred party is only there -- in your heads.

TPTB would have to record who gave them money, where they spent it, how, who earned the spent money... can you imagine? The whole system, as it is, would die. Sounds great!
As for Kamala's team and her knowing they would lose, I'm not surprised at all. I knew they would lose, so did most everyone here. Why? Who the hell is Kamala? Why would anyone like her? I know a lot of voters are dumb, by design it seems, but surely not that dumb.

Nikko is a handsome dawg, but he grew up too fast. I look at Sam’s puppy pictures and can’t believe how she grew out of puppyhood so quickly.

I love the changes I can see in him every day, in his learning, in his behavior, in his body. And I'll love it when all that stabilizes. But darn, I miss his little puppy-ness, he grew beyond it so quickly!

Hey Sima, Happy Thanksgiving.
We are having a mostly traditional meal on Friday, as we just asked a local family for dinner and they said yes for tomorrow. I needed the extra time anyways.
In Tuesday's OT by Earthling 1 I shared a cranberry recipe which I am just making and it turned out too bitter. Ok, now what? Well the answer is Maple Syrup. So I've added that to my bag of kitchen tricks. Interesting that we can get Maple syrup here in France no matter where we go. Those Canadians have some kind of marketing.
It's weird to go to stores this week, as everything is open and there is no holiday. But our little family (dad, mom and sub teen boy kid) is willing to give us a try. They are bringing Apero (tasty before dinner treats).
The mister of the family produces music of all kinds and in many technical ways. He asked if they could use our yard as a back drop for promotion of an album to be released. It was great fun. Here is the YT of the promo. We got to see how the sausage is made.

A while back a local friend who manages a band out of Grenoble asked if he could use the platform we had built for the tent we used to live in. The video they made, for the band, Fuego de Rumba, natives of Spain but residents of Grenoble for 20 years, came out really good.
The lake, of course, is not at our house, but the viaduct is only two miles away. You might recognize our rugs from Hood River!

Happy big bird Day all! It's Cornish Game Hens for us... best tasting bird IMHO. You just have to ignore the parts about them being hens (both sexes are used) or them being game birds. It is a young of a specific hybrid of two chicken breeds. So the name is a marketing one and quite the boner of a misnomer. ;).
