I am a Liberal Christian, democratic socialist from Ohio. I have evolved from being a conservative Republican in my youth (1980s) to a liberal Democrat to a democratic socialist. After college, I worked for 14 years in the department store business, until I saw that it was going to be eaten up by other retail players. I then got a second degree in information technology and have been working in the profession for over 14 years. I am married to a beautiful lady from the Philippines and we have two lovely daughters who I love spending time with. So from my life experiences, I am keenly aware of the struggles of working people in the service industries, because I once was in the same line of work; I am keenly aware of many of the issues surrounding immigration, because my wife came to this country on a fiancee visa; and I am keenly aware of the issues that information technology is creating for workers and for ordinary people in everyday life.
