This Socialist is Now a Part of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy

I think of myself as a socialist, and would be called such by most people, but this is the most sane video I've seen today, and it was posted by a user called "The Right Wing Conspiracy". I really didn't want to post this video I found linked from reddit, I feel embarrassed, but I wanted to share this with y'all. It's actually a decent vid, but I feel like apologizing for posting it.

SUE Comey & IMPEACH Hillary: Full Investigation Of Clinton Foundation Corruption & Email Server

Panel features: Tom Fitton, Peter Schweizer, Chris Farrell, Jerome Corsi, and Joe diGenova.

Yes, I feel the world has turned upside down; that I am so far left that I am now standing shoulder-to-shoulder with those on the right.

These gentlemen speak of Comey's obvious corruption, and the media's complicity with the Clinton machine, and the pay-to-play, and everything else I abhor. So what, I grow up as a leftist, bloomed into a full blown socialist, and now I am officially a part of the vast right wing conspiracy?

This is crazy. There is no more right or left - there is truth and deception, that is the only plane that is worthy of acknowledging from my point of view at this point in time. And these people on this panel are acknowledging truth. They are not a part of some mythical right-wing conspiracy, they are speaking, and exposing, the truth.

The truth of corruption in our government, and in our law enforcement, and our elected officials and our servile corporate media.

So obviously I am frequently questioning my own sanity, and I'm scared, but I am feeling fairly friendly with my new friends Alice, and the Cheshire Cat, and the Mad-Hatter, and others who have fallen down the rabbit hole with us ... #stillsanders #jillnothill

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.

When George Bush was president, many of us quite clearly heard the lies of the political class and the complicity of corporate media figures. Partisan Republicans were utterly deaf to those realities, and reacted angrily while retreating into their little ideological bubble of Muzak. We've more recently heard the same thing, in Blue rather than Red, repeatedly during the Obama years. Now that Hillary has almost grasped her Preciousss, the Variation in Blue has kicked up into fortissimo.

If we are honest with ourselves, we would admit that we all have blind spots. It's always easier to see other peoples' blind spots than our own.

Opposing Hillary because she is a Republican neocon/neoliberal warmonger is not right wing. Opposing her because she is a Democrat (nominally, anyway) is RW. That it's opposing Hillary in both cases doesn't mean both are right wing anymore than it means both are left wing.

As for that lying FBI weasel sell out, Comey, every American should want him tarred and feathered, starting with Harvard Law School. How embarrassing for Harvard that a Harvard Law grad pretends he is that clueless about criminal intent.

...Judicial Watch for a while. Then I noticed that even though they call themselves non-partisan, they concentrate on investigating and prosecuting HRC. I wrote them to ask why they concentrated on Hillary, but not the very real crimes of the Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld-Rice regime which lied us into the monstrous war in Iraq and the break down of the Middle East.
They have not replied.

This according to Wikipedia on some actions regarding Bush's infamous meeting with oil execs. They do focus on the Clintons, and when there is a real scandal to expose at least about the Clintons, they are in there. There focus from what I can tell, is less on conservatives.

Bush Administration[edit]
In July 2003 Judicial Watch joined the environmental organization Sierra Club in suing the George W. Bush administration for access to minutes of Vice President Dick Cheney's Energy Task Force.[10] After several years of legal wrangling, in May 2005 an appeals court permitted the Energy Task Force's records to remain secret.[11][12] Judicial Watch called the decision "a defeat for open government" and Chris Farrell of Judicial Watch said the ruling fit the trend of increasing secrecy in the Bush administration.[13] Judicial Watch was involved in a similar legal dispute with Vice President Dick Cheney in 2002 when the group filed a shareholder lawsuit against Halliburton. The lawsuit, which accused Halliburton of accounting fraud, alleged that "when Mr. Cheney was chief executive of Halliburton, he and other directors inflated revenue reports, boosting Halliburton's share price." [14] As reported by the Wall Street Journal the court filing claims the oil-field-services concern overstated revenue by a total of $445 million from 1999 through the end of 2001.[15]

In 2006, Judicial Watch sued the Secret Service to force the release of logs detailing convicted former lobbyist Jack Abramoff's visits to the White House. This resulted in the release of a number of documents.[16]

The guy waving a book who looks like something you find in that saucer of cheap beer you leave out under the lettuce is the same Jerome Corsi who swiftboated John Kerry and has revealed irrefutable evidence that Obama was born in Kenya and! is gay. His presence on any panel gives me grave concern about the organization that invited him.

crackpot neocons endorse the Democrat and the Democrats welcome their embrace; even seek their advice. All that matters at this point is who tells what's true and who doesn't on any given issue. "Yucky-Eeeeew!" goes on Facebook or whatever.

If you are to the right of Clinton, you oppose her, sometimes for fact-based reasons (there are plenty). If you are to the left of Clinton, you oppose her, frequently for fact-based reasons. This is a property of staking out the centrist position - you have opposition on both sides. And yes, in the cases where the right's opposition is fact-based we will find ourselves agreeing with them on that one thing, it doesn't mean that we are "on the same side" as they are in any other respect. Should you be wary when you find yourself agreeing with Drudge? Of course! Do your homework, it might be fact-based.

"The greatest shortcoming of the human race is our inability to understand the exponential function." -- Albert Bartlett
"A species that is hurtling toward extinction has no business promoting slow incremental change." -- Caitlin Johnstone

A problem for the gop/right wing is how to oppose supposedly "liberal democrats" when they have some large areas of agreement. For example, the gop does not oppose the war policies of the dems. They just oppose that it is a democrat in charge. So except for some paleoconservatives, no push back against democratic party wars. Benghazi is not about sending arms to jihadist terrorists but that Hillary didn't order some immediate military strike, and something about videos, and all kinds of fantasy shit that did not really matter to what was important-- and which they would have agreed with.

I have noted along with others, why is it that the right wingers opposed Clinton as his administration pushed through right wing policies up to almost partially privatizing social security. In terms of policy, the only change is really the team jersey of the quarterback.

Gëzuar!!
from a reasonably stable genius.

Much of what we read and will continue to read about Hillary and yes even Bill Clinton in the main stream mass media will be hagiography, distraction, distortion. and censorship through omission. If she gets elected, even more so. The only place where there will any other view point and truth is in alternative outlets, and that includes now and then right wing alternatives.

In the normal course of events communicating with sane people, I would never use Breitbart as a source of legitimate information. But now and then it happens. A buddy pointed me at a Breitbart piece that turns out to be a very good overview of Hillary Clinton's policies and actions around H1b visas. It was actually based in good measure on attacks made by Obama in the 2008 primaries about Hillary calling herself the Senator of Punjab.

The article went further describing the financial ties of Indian outsourcers to you guessed it--the Clinton Foundation. And you guessed it, six figure speeches by Bill Clinton to these outsourcers.

But of course, in typical right wing fashion, they have to show their winger street creds by adding in a touch of crazy to the title which is: Senator from Punjab’: How Hillary Clinton Masterminded a Global Scheme to Replace American Workers. Clinton didn't mastermind a global scheme--what she did was pocket money for her campaign and personal money for her husband by selling influence knowing she was fucking over American workers.

But still the article from what I knew at the time of reading it, was in fact true. So just for kicks, some parts from the article:

http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presidential-race/2016/09/20/hillary-clint...

Hillary Clinton co-founded the Senate India Caucus, which anti-offshoring advocates say champions “issues important to India, including outsourcing and H-1B and L-1 visas.”

Clinton in 2005: “I am delighted to be the Senator from Punjab as well as from New York.”

Clinton has called for nearly doubling the controversial H-1B guest worker program—suggesting that American workers lack the skills to fill American jobs. She has also defended the cheap labor practices of an Indian outsourcing firm, to which the Clinton Foundation has financial ties: “We are not against all outsourcing; we are not in favor of putting up fences,” she said.

Shortly after the CEO of HCL—the Indian firm that helped lay off 250 American Disney workers in Orlando— called American tech graduates “unemployable”, Bill Clinton delivered a speech to HCL to the tune of nearly a quarter of a million dollars at Disney World in Orlando.

Reports note that Clinton has repeatedly “telegraphed” her support for a globalized world to the Indian community. At a conference of 14,000 Indian Americans, Bill Clinton extolled the virtues of “open borders, easy travel, easy immigration”.

In 2007, Barack Obama slammed “Hillary Clinton (D-Punjab)’s personal, financial and political ties to India… It’s all about the money,” his campaign wrote.

My favorite:

Indeed, in 2009, HCL caused a stir when its Chief Executive, Vineet Nayar, said that American tech grads are “unemployable”. As Daily Tech reported at the time:

Mr. Nayar, speaking before an audience of business partners in New York City, blasted American tech grads as ‘unemployable’. He elaborated that he views American tech grads as inferior to those from India, China, and Brazil as the Americans only want to ‘get rich’ and dream up ‘the next big thing. He says students from countries like India, China, and Brazil are more willing to put the effort into ‘boring’ details of tech process and methodology… Mr. Nayar also complains about the cost of training Americans. He says that most Americans are simply ‘too expensive’ to train.

The comments sparked outrage amongst the American tech community.

Yet just a few months after HCL’s then-CEO described American tech graduates as inferior to Indian tech grads, former President Bill Clinton accepted an invitation to speak at the company for a hefty fee. After Nayar’s anti-American tech worker comments, Clinton ultimately wound up delivering two paid speeches to HCL for a total of $375,000. The first speech was in April of 2010 and the second was in November of 2011.

Clinton delivered his November 2011 to HCL at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Almost exactly three years later, 250 American workers at that very same location at Disney World in Orlando Florida were informed that they would be replaced with Indian workers that HCL had helped bring into the country on H-1B visas.

I will always re-examine my beliefs whenever I find myself in agreement with the right-wing media. My go-to assumption is they're lying or at least slanting extremely.

But "liberals" have always been willing to watch or read a bigger variety of more news sources than "conservatives". So if the right wing decides to report real information for a change, I will look at it.

But trust no one. Double, nay triple, check and verify.

The right and left are united in our dislike of Hillary. Not to worry, that doesn't make you less of a socialist. Maybe relatively independent-thinking right wingers will become more socialist, as they realize that their lifestyles and incomes are falling down the rabbit hole and they are the new disempowered and disenfranchised.

I was reading earlier today - or maybe it was yesterday - a right-wing op-ed decrying the militarization of the police and denial of First Amendment rights. All I can say is, "it's about time". Some white boy must have gotten tased. Maybe as the corporations try harder and harder to enforce their plutocracy, the right wing will "get it" and join the left in opposing authoritarianism, because it will affect them more than it did in the past when the first victims were minorities.
