No, I am not talking about Clinton's pronouncements which are certified 100% pure bullshit. Does any c99er need explanations? Rhetorical question. As a friend of mine said, "weirderer and weirderer".
Almost half of the Dems are still feeling the Bern.
As much as Bernie disappointed me and millions of others, is there still light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. No question in my mind, if Killary dropped out, as much as I like Jill Stein, I love Bernie. If in the unlikely event that the Conservadems see the light, now that Medusa's ship seems to accelerating in its eventual whelming, I think most of his supporters would rally back to him.

Well I would vote for him
In a millisecond. Never for Hillary. And if not for Bernie, then I would go for Jill. But honestly, really, is there any chance for Bernie? Will we really see the downfall of the Clintons? Are we really living in a movie plot?
You bet!
No question I'd vote for Bernie.
I would love to see a Bernie Sanders pres/Jill Stein VP ticket! Six and a half weeks for a miracle...
I think it would be entirely unfair to voters to bring out a candidate at the last minute who didn't bother to campaign. That is insulting to the American public.
This writer thinks so too:

It would be a Sanders-Kaine ticket
if I understand correctly (sorry, don't have a link) - if the nominee removes herself, the VP pick stays the same.

thanks - makes sense
Dear FSM! Why must the VP
Dear FSM! Why must the VP pick of the corporate candidate remain to wreak evil? President Bernie would have to include his VPs evil plots in his 'fireside chats' in warning people of what to watch for and protest... and I wouldn't eat or drink anything left unattended in his presence, if I were him, either.

Kaine was voted on as the VP pick at the convention
I can't quote chapter and verse of DNC rules, but that's where one will find it.
Please believe I'm not happy about it either. Kaine is about as horrible a choice as she could have made.

Kaine was a middle finger to Bernie supporters
Middle finger seems an
Middle finger seems an appropriate description for Kaine, since he's also anti-choice and a lot of the antis are very hot on things like medical rape-by-proxy for women seeking abortion.

So Bernie
could send him to Antarctica to count penguin turds for 4 years. Cool....
The only way I could imagine this happening
is if Clinton's numbers totally collapse. I mean totally, like if she had a seizure on live TV during the debates and dropped 15 points overnight. Then they run internal polling and Bernie is the only one with a chance. Then they force him to either take Kaine or some other RW POS as VP. Even then they might prefer to lose.

Reported that they got polled about Biden/boxer/kaine & Bernie right after Hillary fainted.
So the party has some numbers already
I won't.

Assange has said Jane was threatened
Since the Wellstone family perished, I believe that kind of crap happens.

I had never heard of Senator Wellstone
so did a little digging. Spooky how he received death threats for voting against the Gulf War. And then later opposed the Iraq invasion.

If he or his wife were threatened,
they should come forward and tell everyone.
If not, they can remain silent and serve their master.
Fear is not something we need in a leader.
Fear is not what drives those who wish for change.
Fear is the enemy that those in power use against those without.
I will not fear god or politicians.

Unfortunately, a dead politician can't help anyone.
Maybe Bernie is wiser than we know. Ms Grin was reminding us about Paul Wellstone's death.
The death
of Mr. Wellstone matters not.
Can he help us move forward? Or should we fear what supposedly happened to him? A plane crash.
Live for today. Make a mark on the ballot.
Just please, don't support fear.
That's the democratic and republican mantra.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
That's my point exactly. He
That's my point exactly. He can't help us move forward because he's dead. He was a Jewish senator from Minnesota.
Bernie has managed to stay alive, and thus he is still able to help move democracy forward.
The thread we were discussing (from Ms Grin's comment) was possible motives for Bernie's decision. The tread wasn't talking about our individual votes. We'll choose our own way to vote without anyone shoving any idea or candidate down our throat.
So,
was Bernie's decision based on fear?
He might lose a powerful post in the senate? He might be assassinated by those he disagrees with?
You say "he managed to stay alive".
What, please tell, was he worried about? Was there a death threat?
I call a coward, one who hides from a threat. Particularly from a well known politician
Was he threatened? Can you prove it? If not, please don't give a false narrative as a reason for him to bow to the corrupt.
Fear, is the main reason we're in the shape we are as a nation.
If Bernie folded from fear, he should have never run at the start.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
You don't get it: They threatened to kill his wife
THAT is the threat which tends to get people to back down. People may be willing to lose their own lives, but not those of people they love.
And I don't think it's so bad that he wants to continue the work he's been doing in the Senate - I think that's a mark of integrity.

Where did you see this? I would love to verify the source. Or, is it just rumor, magnified via the leftie grapevine?

Wiki leaks has e-mails about
Wiki leaks has e-mails about Jane Sanders being threatened by the Clinton campaign- Assange stated he will be releasing them. It was only in one article recently, can't remember where.
Separate of that, Putin states he ALSO has these e-mails and will release them if for some reason Wiki leaks is unable to. Putin's having them has been in more than one article.
"He" = Assange, I assume
I hope he, or Putin, or somebody, lets us know what really went down.

That is about the most unrealistic suggestion I have heard
in a long time. Was Sanders supposed to call a news conference and say that the lives of his wife, family or himself had been threatened by Obama and/or Clinton? Just exactly what do you think the news media would say about that given their previous treatment of him? Sour grapes is what they would claim. Do you really think the person(s) who did the threatening would just go "Oh, yeah, I said that." It would be chalked up as a conspiracy theory and Sanders hauled off to the loony bin with lots of sympathetic words from the people who are holding the gun to his head.

So you are saying he should be ashamed for protecting
his family? There are other ways to fight that do not involve getting someone you love killed. There are some things one should be afraid of.
Meanwhile, your response completely ignores the point of my comment. Just what do you think would have happened if Sanders had made it known that he had been threatened? I can pretty well guess that it wasn't put in writing or recorded or witnessed.

big talk for a guy that is never going to be in any danger
of being targeted for retribution.
and i'll note, the only reason you will never be in such danger is because you decline to take such noble actions as would put you there.

Your comment is half-baked.
Think about Bern holding a press conference, or an interview with a respected journalist (if one can be found). "I've been threatened; my family too." 'Drop out, or drop dead,' they (fill in the blank) warned me.
Yes, he will be ridiculed. So what? If Bern named names and told millions of supporters about the threat, and then turns up in the hospital or dead, then the perpetrator would be unmasked. This would have been cheap insurance against the Clinton machine and would have guaranteed Bern's safety and freedom to run third party. He didn't do that and will be a footnote in history; instead of the change agent he could have been. And, we're stuck with the misery of Hill & Bill.
What do you suggest he use as proof?
Even if Sanders could find a journalist with integrity who was willing to put his/her life and career on the line for a story in which he only had the word of the victim, the rest of the media would tear it apart. This is the same media that even though they have proof of wrong doing by the Clintons have chosen to bury it or shrug it off or explain it away or label it conspiracy theory.
Even the Clintons are not stupid enough to make the deaths so obvious to show a direct link between an alleged threat and the event. A year or two from now a Sanders' family boating accident would not even create a dent in the Clinton teflon. Everyone has a lot of "brave" words to say about something which does not affect them personally.
People need to start taking responsibility for their own actions and future rather than laying everything on Sanders. If you do not want to be "stuck with the misery of Hill & Bill," then vote for Trump. Yes, he is a sleazeball, but he is not a Clinton and will in the long run do far less damage.

I agree w/ everything except voting for Trump...
Fortunately, we have other choices.
My gut still thinks Hillary gets replaced on the ticket.

It would take another and more public collapse
like the 9/11 incident, only worse - and this time captured on so many cameras that there could be no denying it.
Short of that, I think she staggers on through Election Day. If she becomes incapacitated, or dies, between then and the time the electoral votes are formally counted (Jan 6, 2016, as I understand it) - it would depend, I suppose, on whether she won or lost.
If she won, then presumably Kaine takes over. But if she lost...it could get weird, as it did in 1872....
There is no justice. There can be no peace.
Unless she drops dead between now and November, I
highly doubt that she will be replaced. The masters do not care too much who gets elected; they just feel that they will have a comrade in arms with HRC. The corporate media and her backers have pretty much pulled every excuse they can find (and will make up more as needed) to keep her in place.
Meanwhile, only some of us have a choice. While I would greatly like to see the Greens get as many votes as possible (not so much for Johnson considering he likes the TPP), people in states that will actually affect the Electoral College have harder choices. The ONLY way to keep the Clintons out is to vote for Trump in those states that will make the difference. I know it is a bitter pill, but the realization is going to have to dawn on people soon. Then maybe once they understand what needs to be done, they can move on to organizing for the changes we need to work on.
With all the states that have been solid blue or red for the last 50 years, there are more than enough voters there to get the Greens past the 5% mark needed for federal funds. I should add, though, that I am not sure how much help that is going to be as Sanders indicted that there were some problems inherent in using the federal funding option which is why he didn't use it.

had he kept quiet, he might have actually won.

Get back 2 us when someone threatens the life of someone u love
and let us know if you'd run to the press at that time. We can say all we want about fear as an abstraction, but when there's a live grenade or a dripping knife, it may feel A LOT different than we day-dreamed it would when it was not real.
No one has explained that hole in Bernie's cheek on day two of the convention.

as far as I am concerned he is in bed with the Clintons and the DNC and that wont work for me.

I'd vote for him
And do whatever I can to support the Green party (or whatever party champions the people best) for future elections. The democratic party is irredeemable, even with a progressive at the helm (whom they'll do anything they can to sabotage anyway).
But I know it won't happen. They don't care about the will of the people, and will appoint someone like Biden, not caring that they would be tossing out every voter's votes by doing so.
No Chance Bernie Will Pinch Hit.
Bernie cut his political hair, and can't now pull down the temple.
Assuming the Party doesn’t turn to Kaine, Joe Biden will get the call. He's a trusted Party hack who gave up a lucrative seat as the Senator from MNBA to be Obama's #2. He can be an effective campaigner, and his handlers will strap operatives to Joe's ankles to make it more difficult to insert his brogans into his mouth.
Vowing To Oppose Everything Trump Attempts.
It's not a foregone conclusion
Bernie's delegates were recorded. Neither Kaine nor Biden have any. The party will likely continue to implode - we just don't know how they'll choose to do it with respect to replacing her should that benecessary.

The Inquisitr link has a stupid autoplay that keeps crashing
the site, but I got the gist and she's entirely correct. I think those of you saying they'll never give it to Bern will be proven correct. But then I think the Dem party loses the election. Which they will know before they appoint her successor, and they'll appoint Biden or someone like that anyway. So they're not really all that afraid of Trump, are they?

Bernie can win - Stein can't
So I would vote for Bernie, and he would truly then become a real "lesser of evil" vote. If they can bully/intimidate him into dropping out, they can bully/intimidate i office too. However, Bernie's platform would truly complicate their agenda. If they failed to adhere to it, they'll be right back to losing their ass in 2 - 4 years.

If this fantasy occurred, And
If this fantasy occurred, And all of Berinies followers fell back into place, it still leaves the problem of Bernie winning over Hillary's voters in less than two months and more likely far less. Having felt the hatred for Bernies supporters at Dkos by Clintonites I just don't see that happening. I really doubt the Dem. party could defeat Trump under any scenario of a Hillary drop out, just to disasterous to overcome. Third party candidates would improve their numbers but no where enough to defeat republicans.
I understand the fun of such dreamery, reality is the probabilities of any such scenarios are waaay out there.
This isn't DKos, and please don't lump us into the same
"Basket of Deplorables".
I don't see a Dem. party win with Hillary - the trends are all running increasingly strongly against her - so they're screwed no matter what, aren't they?
They screwed themselves to crown Her, and now they can just live with it.
There is no justice. There can be no peace.
The number of millennials and
The number of millennials and independents that would vote for Bernie (but not Hillary) is greater than the number of Dems that would vote for Hillary (but not Bernie.)
I don't know how you read
I don't know how you read that I think CP 99 is Dkos or that I lump anyone with a basket of deplorables, I don't. I was describing Hillarys supporters deplorable behavior toward Bernie supporters , that I felt first hand via DKos. It is why I am here, I don't assume everyone is here for the same reason I am, It doesn't seem important to me.
I would fully agree that the Dem Party screwed itself by rigging the election for Hillary instead of allowing a democratic process to elect the better candidate Bernie. I would add the Republican Party screwed itself by electing Trump, and yet the system is so entrenched no third party can poll above 10%, I find that depressing and tragic for the American people.
