Today’s Hitler Says “Free Palestine” Is Today’s “Heil Hitler”
Benjamin Netanyahu has wasted no time proclaiming that “Free Palestine is just today’s version of Heil Hitler” following the shooting of two Israeli embassy staffers in Washington DC on Thursday, seizing on this new opportunity to frame Israel’s critics as dangerous Jew haters who must be shut down by any means necessary.
Yeah sure, Bibi. Right. Opposing today’s Hitler is today’s version of Heil Hitler.
There’s been a frenetic push from the pro-Israel crowd in using the slain embassy staffers to argue that pro-Palestine protesters need to be shut down, and it’s just so ridiculous. Nobody should grant it even one second of serious consideration.

There is nothing that could possibly happen that would convince me it’s wrong to oppose an active genocide.
No number of politically motivated assassinations will ever make me believe that opposing the Gaza holocaust is the wrong thing to do.
There is no amount of shrieking about “antisemitism” that would cause me to consider the possibility that maybe intentionally starving civilians is alright after all.
There is no amount of Israel apologists who could show up in my comments section calling me a Nazi that would ever make me believe it’s okay to rain military explosives on a giant concentration camp full of children.
There is no amount of concern trolling the mass media could do to suggest that saying “Free Palestine” is violently radicalizing people that would ever make me change my mind about the immorality of intentionally annihilating hospitals and medical workers.
This is not a debate. My position is indisputably, unassailably, unshakably correct. It is correct from a moral standpoint. It is correct from a logical standpoint. It is correct from a factual standpoint. And it always will be.
Any time Israel’s supporters find an excuse to milk a little more sympathy they all spend days going “Aha, see! Our genocide is good after all, and you are wrong to oppose it!” And the answer is always an immediate and unequivocal “Nope.”
After the embassy staff shooting my various comments sections were flooded with Israel supporters frantically calling me every name in the book for saying those two deaths were less significant and newsworthy than the ongoing genocide. But they weren’t really angry about what I said, they were angry that I was shitting on their “See this means our genocide is fine” PR parade. That I was telling everyone not to play along with what the pro-Israel spin machine was about to try and do.
But I am right, and they are wrong. There is no valid argument to the contrary. A much more egregious act of violence could target Israel tomorrow, and I would still be completely and indisputably correct in opposing the genocidal atrocities in Gaza. Such acts could target Israel every single day thereafter, and I would still be completely and indisputably correct in opposing the genocidal atrocities in Gaza.
And there is nothing they could possibly say to me to convince me otherwise.
Nothing will ever cause me to believe that it is moral and reasonable to systematically murder Palestinians and make their territory uninhabitable in order to drive them off it and seize it. That will always be wrong, and everyone who says so will always be correct, no matter what happens. End of discussion. Forever.
SHOTS FIRED: Chaos At U.S. Gaza 'Aid' Center
Israeli troops open fire as aid group loses control of distribution centre
Israeli troops have opened fire near thousands of hungry Palestinians as a logistics group chosen by Israel to ship food into Gaza lost control of its distribution centre on its second day of operations. An 11-week total siege and a continuing tight Israel blockade mean most people in Gaza are desperately hungry. Hundreds of thousands walked through Israeli military lines to reach the new distribution centre in Rafah on Tuesday. But the newly established Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) was not prepared for them and staff at one point were forced to abandon their posts.
“At one moment in the late afternoon, the volume of people at the SDS [secure distribution centre] was such that the GHF team fell back to allow a small number of Palestinians in Gaza to take aid safely and dissipate,” the foundation said in a statement.
Israeli tank fire and gunfire was heard, and a military helicopter fired flares, the Associated Press reported. At least three injured Palestinians were taken from the scene, one of them bleeding from a leg wound. The Israeli military said it fired “warning shots” near the compound to restore control. It was not immediately clear if there had been any injuries among people trying to get food. ...
The GHF said its decision to abandon the distribution centre “was done in accordance with GHF protocol to avoid casualties” and that by the end of Tuesday it had handed out 8,000 boxes of food: enough to feed 44,000 people for half a week according to its calculations. That is just 2% of Gaza’s population. The foundation said deliveries would be increased during the week.
Pictures shared on social media that appeared to show the content of the boxes, but could not immediately be verified, suggested they would be meagre meals, mostly rice, pasta and flour with some cans of beans and vegetables sourced from Israel.

Former Israeli PM Ehud Olmert says his country is committing war crimes
The former prime minister of Israel Ehud Olmert has said Israel is committing war crimes in Gaza, and that “thousands of innocent Palestinians are being killed, as well as many Israeli soldiers”. Olmert, who was the 12th prime minister of Israel from 2006 to 2009, wrote in an opinion piece for the Israeli newspaper and website Haaretz that “the government of Israel is currently waging a war without purpose, without goals or clear planning and with no chances of success”.
The former Israeli PM and former member of Likud, the same party as Netanyahu, wrote that the “pointless victims among the Palestinian population” were reaching “monstrous proportions” in recent weeks. “Recent operations in Gaza have nothing to do with legitimate war goals,” he wrote. “This is now a private political war. Its immediate result is the transformation of Gaza into a humanitarian disaster area.”
Olmert said he had often asserted that Israel was not committing war crimes in Gaza and claimed with conviction that “in no case did a government official give orders to hit Gazan civilians indiscriminately”. However, in recent weeks, “I’ve been no longer able to do so,” he said. “What we are doing in Gaza now is a war of devastation: indiscriminate, limitless, cruel and criminal killing of civilians. It’s the result of government policy – knowingly, evilly, maliciously, irresponsibly dictated.”
“Yes, Israel is committing war crimes,” he concluded.

US Has Delivered 90,000 Tons of Weapons to Israel in Nearly 600 Days
The US has delivered 90,000 tons of bombs, guns, and other military equipment to Israel since October 7, 2023, to support the genocidal war against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, according to numbers from the Israeli Defense Ministry.
The Defense Ministry said Tuesday that the 800th plane carrying US weapons arrived in Israel in the morning, and 140 ships have also delivered US equipment in the nearly 600 days since October 7.
The ministry stated that the military equipment has included “armored vehicles, munitions, ammunition, personal protection gear, and medical supplies” and that the US support is “a significant component” in ensuring the Israeli military can continue the slaughter in Gaza. ...
US deliveries to Israel continue despite reports of friction between President Trump and Netanyahu. While Trump has claimed he wants to see a ceasefire in Gaza, there’s no indication that he is willing to force Israel to agree to a deal with Hamas by leveraging military aid.
Trump HALTS Student Visas, HUNTS For Israel Criticism
Trump administration orders US embassies to stop student visa interviews
The Trump administration has ordered US embassies worldwide to immediately stop scheduling visa interviews for foreign students as it prepares to implement comprehensive social media screening for all international applicants. A Tuesday state department cable instructs consular sections to pause adding “any additional student or exchange visitor (F, M, and J) visa appointment capacity until further guidance is issued” within days.
The directive, first reported by Politico and now confirmed by the Guardian, could severely delay visa processing and hurt universities – many of which Donald Trump accuses of having far-left ideologies – that rely heavily on foreign students for revenue. ...
The freeze is a further escalation from current screening measures, which have primarily targeted students who participated in pro-Palestinian campus protests. Since March, consular officers have been required to conduct mandatory social media reviews looking for evidence of support for “terrorist activity or a terrorist organization” which could be as broad as showing support for the Palestinian cause, according to a cable obtained by the Guardian at the time. That directive required officers to take screenshots of “potentially derogatory” content for permanent records, even if posts were later deleted. ...
There are more than one million foreign students in the United States, contributing nearly $43.8bn to the US economy and supporting more than 378,000 jobs in 2023 to 2024, according to NAFSA. The visa freeze threatens to compound existing challenges facing higher education institutions already experiencing declining international enrollment.

Tesla sales slump across Europe amid backlash against Musk
Sales of new Tesla electric cars are sliding across Europe, data suggests, amid a political backlash against its billionaire chief executive, Elon Musk. The figures from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) showed registrations for new Teslas halved in April compared to the same month a year earlier, despite a broader rise in battery electric vehicles overall.
The electric carmaker faces widespread backlash against Musk’s political ties to Donald Trump, and vocal support for the far-right Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party. ...
According to the latest snapshot, the ACEA said Tesla registrations fell from 14,228 in April 2024 to 7,261 last month, a decline of 49%, in the EU, the UK, and the broader European Free Trade Association bloc – which consists of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland.
However, overall battery electric car sales rose by 27.8% in April, compared with a 22.4% drop in petrol cars and a 24.7% drop in diesel cars. Sales of plug-in hybrid cars rose by 31.3%. Total car registrations rose most for the Chinese state-owned manufacturer SAIC, owner of the British brand MG, and the Japanese carmaker Mitsubishi.
"I Am a Political Prisoner": Immigrant Rights Activist Jeanette Vizguerra Speaks from ICE Jail
State and Local Cops Doing License Plate Lookups for ICE
State and local law enforcement agencies across the United States are using data gleaned from automated license plate readers to assist federal immigration authorities in the Trump administration's mass deportation efforts, a report published Tuesday detailed.
Data reviewed by 404 Media found that state and local police are using an artificial-intelligence-powered automatic license plate reader (ALPR) system made by Atlanta-based Flock Safety to perform immigration-related lookups and other actions in service of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) investigations, "giving federal law enforcement side-door access to a tool that it currently does not have a formal contract for," according to report authors Jason Koebler and Joseph Cox.
Koebler and Cox found that Flock Safety's ALRP systems are being used in more than 5,000 communities from coast to coast, where law enforcement agencies have conducted over 4,000 lookups "either at the behest of the federal government or as an 'informal' favor to federal law enforcement."
State and local law enforcement across the country are using data from Flock license plate cameras to assist with immigration enforcement.
Mass surveillance will not make anyone more free. https://t.co/oWcuUrnYSX
— Rob Poggenklass (@rpogge) May 27, 2025
According to Koebler and Cox:
As part of a Flock search, police have to provide a "reason" they are performing the lookup. In the "reason" field for searches of [Danville, Illinois'] cameras, officers from across the U.S. wrote "immigration," "ICE," "ICE+ERO"—which is ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations, the section that focuses on deportations—"illegal immigration," "ICE WARRANT," and other immigration-related reasons. Although lookups mentioning ICE occurred across both the Biden and Trump administrations, all of the lookups that explicitly list "immigration" as their reason were made after [U.S. President Donald] Trump was inaugurated, according to the data.
The Department of Homeland Security does use license plate scanning cameras at the border and has shown great interest in the technology. Immigration advocates have been concerned that ICE could turn to local agencies' ALPR networks, but this is the first confirmation such data access is happening during Trump's mass deportation efforts.
"Different law enforcement systems serve different purposes and might be more appropriate for one agency or another," Jay Stanley, senior policy analyst at the ACLU's Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project, told 404 Media. "There should be public conversations about what we want different agencies to be able to do."
"I assume there's a fair number of community residents who accept giving police the power to deploy license plate readers to catch a bank robber, who would absolutely gag on the idea that their community's cameras have become part of a nationwide ICE surveillance infrastructure," Stanley added. "And yet if this kind of informal backdoor access to surveillance devices is allowed, then there's functionally no limits to what systems ICE can tap into with no public oversight or control into what they are tapping into."
Colorado River basin has lost nearly the equivalent of an underground Lake Mead
The Colorado River basin has lost 27.8m acre-feet of groundwater in the past 20 years, an amount of water nearly equivalent to the full capacity of Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the United States, a new study has found. The research findings, based on Nasa satellite imagery from across the south-west, highlight the scale of the ongoing water crisis in the region, as both groundwater and surface water are being severely depleted.
“Groundwater is disappearing 2.4 times faster than the surface water,” said Jay Famiglietti, a hydrologist at Arizona State University and the study’s senior author. “Everyone in the US should be worried about it, because we grow a lot of food in the Colorado River basin, and that’s food that’s used all over the entire country,” he added. “These days, we’re also supporting a number of data centers and computer chip manufacturers, and these are essential to our economy.” ...
The decreasing availability of surface water is easy to visualize across the west. There are the stark photographs of the dropping levels of water in Lake Powell and Lake Mead, and images of the Colorado River, whose flow has decreased approximately 20% in the past century.
But groundwater is different, Famiglietti said: “It’s invisible. It’s mysterious. The average citizen doesn’t really understand it.” With less visibility has come less regulation: California only instituted statewide management of its groundwater in 2014, and before that, groundwater use was largely unregulated. Arizona, which has seen big groundwater decreases, still does not regulate groundwater usage in the majority of the state, Famiglietti said, which means that most property-owners can simply pump out as much groundwater as they want.
“Overpumping” is the main cause of groundwater losses over the past 20 years, he said. “There’s nothing illegal about it, it’s just unprotected.”
Planet’s darkening oceans pose threat to marine life
Great swathes of the planet’s oceans have become darker in the past two decades, according to researchers who fear the trend will have a severe impact on marine life around the world. Satellite data and numerical modelling revealed that more than a fifth of the global ocean darkened between 2003 and 2022, reducing the band of water that life reliant on sunlight and moonlight can thrive in.
The effect is evident across 75m sq km (30m sq miles) of ocean, equivalent to the land area of Europe, Africa, China and North America combined, and disturbs the upper layer of water where 90% of marine species live.
Dr Thomas Davies, a marine conservationist at the University of Plymouth, said the findings were a “genuine cause for concern”, with potentially severe implications for marine ecosystems, global fisheries and the critical turnover of carbon and nutrients in the oceans.
Most marine life thrives in the photic zones of the world’s oceans, the surface layers that allow sufficient light through for organisms to exploit. While sunlight can reach a kilometre beneath the waves, in practice there is little below 200 metres.
This upper band of water is where microscopic plant-like organisms called phytoplankton photosynthesise. The organisms underpin virtually all marine food webs and generate nearly half the planet’s oxygen. Many fish, marine mammals and other creatures hunt, feed and reproduce in the warmer waters of the photic zones where food is most abundant.
As a Republican state lawmaker for 16 years, a Texas rancher and a staunch supporter of Donald Trump, John Davis’s conservative credentials are impeccable. But Davis has become horrified at his party’s assault upon an increasingly vital lifeline to many rural, conservative areas of the US – clean energy development. Davis allowed seven wind turbines to be situated on his ranch, in the rolling hill country near Menard, west of Austin, and has seen the income provide opportunities not only for his family but also his local community in what is one of the poorest counties in Texas.
But a barrage of bills working their way through the Republican-held Texas legislature threaten to reverse the state’s position as the US’s clean energy superpower, even curtailing cherished private property rights by limiting a landowner’s ability to host wind and solar farms.
The bills come as Trump has ramped up anti-renewable rhetoric on the national stage, calling wind turbines “ugly” and “disgusting” and barring major clean energy projects on federal lands and waters. “We don’t want windmills in this country,” Trump, who has enjoyed strong electoral support from farmers, said shortly after being inaugurated as president.
This backlash has left many conservatives, such as Davis, bewildered, with recent polling showing that most Republican voters in Texas oppose moves to squash the state’s booming renewable energy sector. While climate campaigners see renewables as a crucial replacement for the fossil fuels that are overheating the planet, places such as Menard county, Texas – where Trump won more than 80% of the vote in last year’s election – are more inclined to weigh other factors.
“We’re supposed to be the party of common sense but we’ve shifted to be like the Democrats and that is what makes me mad. When you tell me what to do on my own property that sounds more like a Democrat,” Davis said. “Some of the bills they are trying to pass would kill renewables.” Davis retired as state legislator in 2015 to spend more time on his ranch but has lately been donning a suit and traveling back to Austin to urge his former colleagues to reject the anti-renewables bills. “I testify as a conservative and say: ‘What are you guys doing? Have you lost your mind?’” he said. “Some of these bills are attacking battery storage of all things. How dumb is that? It’s sacrificing your core conservative value principles in order to protect the oil and gas industry.”

let me guess, israel is not part of kellogg's portfolio, so he can't comment.
perhaps mr. kellogg can comment on the thousands of drones that ukraine has launched at civilian facilities in russia.
Russia dropped hundreds of bombs
and yet only 12 people were killed. If they actually were. That tells me that they try hard not to hurt civilians. Unlike Israel. I’ve been pointing out the Ukraine drone swarms into Russia to those who are whining about the Russian attacks. I get called a Putin puppet. Of course I do.
Aaron points out how the media has covered the 2 dead Zionists for days on end and yet it hasn’t once mentioned the 9 children that were burned alive. Or that girl child who was pictured trying to escape her burning home.
I hope there’s telly in heaven so I can watch the next Nuremberg trials that hopefully includes journalists. I don’t expect to see anyone being held accountable in my lifetime. I used to until I found out how long the genocide has been planned. And how long ago Israel captured our government.

Sadly true
Max talks about how one of the most sadistic German torturers was brought to America during operation paperclip. But so were so many German sadists and scientists who got to escape being held accountable. Not much is known about the Japanese sadists who we also rescued from fate. Another thing I learned this week is that Japan killed 25 million Chinese during the 2nd World War. 30 million Christians were killed in Russia. During the Bolshevik war (?)

Never Again is Now Global
I’m suffering from moral injury. How can I not? Most of the world is too because we are unable to stop what is happening in Palestine. I suffered when 400,000 Yemenis died from our sanctions. When 40,000 Venezuelans died from sanctions. When 500,000 Iraqi children died as well as millions more Iraqis from sanctions. Powerful countries say fck that to international law that was supposed to put an end to the mass slaughters.

Unit 731
The biological warfare unit of Japan during the thirties and forties, was known as Unit 731. Over the years once in a while I post a comment about the three principal war criminals the US released from the Sugamo prison without trial who went on to form the nucleus of the Liberal Democratic Party which has dominated post-war Japan ever since. They were Kishi Nobusuke, Yoshio Kodama, and Koichi Sasakawa. From wikipedia
Sasakawa and Kodama knew each other long before they were imprisoned by the US occupation forces after the war. The write up in wiki doesn't mention this, but I recall reading elsewhere (I can't remember the source) that Kodama brokered a deal with the US to exculpate Unit 731 war criminals and give up records of their activities to the US (probably those that hadn't been destroyed already). Kodama although he held a commission as a general officer, had a long record of criminal activity, and was basically, in charge of the underworld in occupied territories, accumulating and hiding looted wealth from China and other countries, running international drug trafficking, the Yakuza at home, the KMT collaborator underworld in China, smuggling, stealing US military shipments with KMT cooperation, etc. After the defeat he hid many of his assets with the Imperial family, for whom he worked.
Beyond the reminder that Kishi was one of the founders of the LDP, with CIA support, and arranged for a treaty with the US that allowed a continuing occupation by the US at various military bases, I'll leave it at that. Abe grew up on Kishi's knee it is said, so there is no surprise in his movement to expunge references to Japanese war crimes everywhere including the Japanese education system. One of his other major goals was to eliminate the restrictions on offensive military operations in the post war Japanese constitution and make it "a normal country." Japan's current significant military forces are ostensibly only "Self Defense Forces." Abe is considered the author of the Indo-Pacific strategy.
This is from APJJF:
Unit 731 and the Japanese Imperial Army’s Biological Warfare Program
This article suggests that the deal was available to Unit 731 war criminals who cooperated before Kodama was released. I recommend reading the entire article for the information it does disclose. Snoopy is right that the historical sources on this are hard to find and of course mostly written in Japanese, and harbored in intelligence records, so there is quite a barrier to finding the information.
In my opinion English language research on Japanese war crimes was deliberately avoided in the publishing business. I think the few works in English that address the subject area are largely out of print. Generally, the few people who did publish on this were excoriated and regarded as paranoid, or fanciful story tellers.

The older I get the more I find out that most of what I was taught was grade a propaganda or just half truths.
The holocaust seems to be mostly about the deaths in concentration camps, but not about the absolute slaughter of Jews in towns and cities across Europe. I don’t remember who said it, but most Jews died there and not in the camps.
Also not told is how Israel treated the concentration camp Jews when they arrived there. Sent as cannon fodder even though they were not fully trained or recovered.

Trump can deport anyone he wants, but only back to their country. It costs much more money to send them to another country to be locked up. Why doesn’t he just do option one like Obama the deporter in chief did?
