"[...] Stein said that the issue "raises real questions about her competency."
"I think there should have been a full investigation. I think the American people are owed an explanation for what happened, [...]"
"There is much more that is coming to public attention about Hillary Clinton's behavior, including the recent revelations about favors bestowed on the Clinton Foundation's donors who got special deals, who got state partnerships."
"In fact, orders were being issued from her office to others in the Secretary of State Department to do the exact opposite of what she was doing. So certainly, you know, if she wasn't aware that she was violating State Department rules, it raises real issues about her competency."
Stein hits Clinton on emails: Voters "owed an explanation"
by David Wright, cnn.com -- Mon August 15, 2016 -- [Emphasis and Links added]
Stein will have the opportunity to continue to make her case against Clinton and the other presidential candidates at a CNN-hosted Green Party Town Hall event on Wednesday at 9:00 p.m. [That's 9:00 p.m. ET; 6:00 p.m PT; online via CNNgo.]

I'd rather be "Green"
than low-down sneaky "mean".
It's not easy being Green..........sorry couln't help myself....
But don't forget the last verse
When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder? Why Wonder,
I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful!
And I think it's what I want to be.

Thanks Hawkfish
I'll add that to the text of the post.

I had forgotten about this upcoming event. While I respected Bernie and his attempts to elevate discourse on the issues, it feels really good to hear a liberal call HRC out on her inadequacies.
YW jo
when Bernie "took the high-road" -- and astoundingly proclaimed:
"We are all sick and tired of hearing about your Damn Emails!"
My first reaction was to laugh in amazement.
My second, was to to think: 'And now he has just ruined his chances -- expecting the Media to take the high-road with him, and focus on the Issues the American People care about.'
Bernie got yuuuuge crowds because he insisted
on talking about issues. And, therefore, he was willing to allow the Justice Dept determine her culpability. No one attends Hillary's rallies because she never talks about issues. First, she attacked Bernie. And now she attacks Trump. None of that crap is going to make anyone's life better. Campaigns, especially this year, are disgusting.
Of course, now that Jill is excluded from the Debates...
The Transparency of government and the blatant manipulation of the justice and election systems IS an issue.
A major issue, and the fact that Hillary was not indicted right smack in the middle of it.
Love it when a major campaign issue merges so seamlessly with EVERYTHING that is wrong with an opposing candidate...
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
Well,
Yes, yes, but she'll have her picture in all of the history books! Now what could be more important that that? (ugh)

This is why I love Jill
She is not afraid to take names and kick some ass.
All she needs is time and money. I hope she gets them.

The Green Party needs more members to be "heard"
Progressives who are not happy with Hillary as the Democratic Party nominee can join the Green Party and support a platform and candidates who more closely align with our political orientation. I've made the leap and I feel free of Democratic Party guilt; I don't have to apologize for being a member of a Party who would nominate Hillary Clinton.
Be a Friend of the Earth, cherish it and protect it.
I Demexited right after the Convention. Felt great.
Because of state law on primary voting, though, I went indie rather than Green.
Well, since the msm keeps telling us
that trump is tanking in the swing states, I hope more folks won't feel obligated to vote for the lesser evil to keep trump from being elected & instead will vote for the candidate whose positions they agree the most with.
If they're calling Florida a "Swing State"
(which I always thought it was), their polling is full of shit, at least in my anecdotal experience. I've driven community roads in Flagler, St. Johns and Lake counties for many months now, along with a trek I made down the oceanside highway (A-1-A) through part of Volusia. I have yet to actually see any national-office signs for anyone other than Donald Trump.
(there are plenty of signs for state and local officeholders as well, so the Trump signs really stand out)
I saw that
Some poll today has her up 8, 9 points in Florida.
Of course, we have no idea if the polls are any good. likely voter screens can be used to manipulate results.
Poll Skewer-er!!! Blaspheme!!!!
(slaps side of head with palm) I am so sorry, I was having a TOP flashback...
Right, you might remember that simple bit of common sense being pointed out by many (besides you and I) yet somehow it got me labeled a "conspiracy theorist". Imagine, having the unmitigated gall to suggest that polls--and by extension, pollsters--might be, you know, making shit up. Like they could ever! Or something...
Climate is the issue
Change is here in devastating ways, 126° in the Middle East, major flooding in Louisiana - does Clinton appear concerned about it at all?
To thine own self be true.
No one has informed HRC. Apparently she surrounds herself
in an impermeable bubble. Playing stupid with Congress is a sign of incompetence.

Three FEET of rain!
I heard a weatherman say that even tropical storms don't do that, two feet, maybe. Big changes already.
Was it the same storm as...
I think it might be same tropical wave that passed through Dominica dumping a lot of rain for our gardens, prceeded to Belize where it became a Cat 1 hurricane, crossed the Isthmus of Tehuantepec and ended up in Louisiana.
Last year, Tropical Storm Erika dumped about 18 inches of ran on Dominica. Killed 67 people in landslides and other disasters, flooded hundreds of homes, destroyed our infrastructure... roads, bridges, water systems, electric lines, Internet, cable TV...
From the Light House.
This is good news.
Thanks for sharing. Will pass on the info to my followers on FB. Since no one else is talking about the emails and MSM is doing their Trump is awful coverage 24/7, I'm grateful Jill is. Good for her.

HRC will be the next US President,
no matter what Jill Stein says or what anybody else says. So we'd better get used to it. Expect it, and plan for it.
Hillary's domestic agendae will probably encounter fierce Congressional opposition, but the influence of her extensive politico/financial relations may well be able accomplish much of value, from a socially progressive standpoint. Wall Street has nothing against gays, or against abortion, etc. Even the MIC is gradually accepting the idea of female warriors. Stronger anti- rape laws too, very likely. All to the good.
However, regarding foreign policy there is little or nothing that stands in Hillary's way. She is a warhawk extraordinaire - she has always been one, and unless I'm badly misreading her, she will continue to be one. Fully in bed with the MIC, ideologically. HRC has no interest whatsoever in a "multi-polar" world. For her, America is the one and only "exceptional, indispensable nation" destined to rule over all others. Via her many corporate compatriots and banker buddies, both foreign and domestic.
Of course whatever military interventions "we" as a nation might undertake will be fully justified for humanitarian reasons. Our "defense" of eastern Europe (for example) will be explained as an understandable, even unavoidable response to Putin's "aggression". Our determination to rid Syria of the "evil" Assad will no doubt be intensified. We can look forward to further confrontations in the South China sea. And so on.
Bottom line, I think the coming Clinton Administration will be an extremely proactive one internationally, much more so than Obama's has been. Trump may talk about using America's muscle, but Clinton has far more ability to actually put it to use. And she seems not to have learned a damn thing from her previous blunders.

I'm for making her work HARD for it.
If Hillary wins without resorting to massive Election Fraud, blocking polling places, Manipulation of the Media, arresting 3rd party candidates, violent repression of protests and every OTHER dirty trick she can come up with... we haven't done our jobs.
Done deal? Maybe, but I don't believe in lying back and trying to enjoy it.
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
She doesn't need to do
any of that shit in order to beat Trump and Stein and Johnson. When you've got the banksters, the neocons, the MIC, the blacks, the hispanics, the neoliberals, the msm, and the movie stars all rooting for you, or at least voting for you, how you gonna lose? Uh uh. Ain't gonna happen.
Of course the more people vote third party, the better. And there might well be a lot of us. But no one should be under the illusion that either Johnson or Stein has any chance of winning, this time.
Next time... maybe. If there is a next time.

Everything has to start somewhere.
And, as my very first lesson in Greek had as its motto, kάθε αρχή είναι δύσκολη (every beginning is difficult).

So we begin, cooperatively, to roll the stone uphill?
I can still try. I am studying (with helpful hints from a master) stone-stacking, those magical boulders balanced on each other.

Right?
The Inevitability Express appears to have decided to steamroll their way through the daily grind in the fishbowl of the campaign trail, to help stave off questions about their candidate's mental state. Or at least of her platform, such as it is.
Thing is, I keep seeing her commercials here in Florida, right now. The Clinton campaign must be spending a fortune here already, and she's not even on the August primary ballot (which is why we're seeing political commercials down here at all right now). Inevitable? I'm going to go out on a limb and say "hardly". Inevitable doesn't need ad-buys that bad.
What an optimist, native!
To believe ANYTHING erupting from Medusa's mouth.
Translation of Clinton's proactive foreign policy: unprovoked war. My bet is that Iran will be her warm-up session, then she'll go after Syria, just to annoy Putin--and maybe worse.
Entirely possiblle.

Keep in mind that the army
Has recently changed their camo from the desert gray back to green. Ie, the type of green they wore during the Cold War, when we were prepared for war in Europe.
I'm sure they still wear the gray over in Iraq & Afghanistan, but it really surprised me when state side they started wearing green again (I work for DoD, and we have have army officers in my office), I was wondering why they were wearing "old" uniforms.
So don't forget Russia/Ukraine as a possible 1st war if Hillary is elected.
If/when she goes after Russia,
And I'm sure she will if she gets elected, we'd better all live near a very deep (well-stocked) cave. Include some potassium iodide to protect yourself from the radioactive iodine. Other radiation, tough luck.
Time to reread On the Beach.
Or, we could adopt
the early Dylan pose:
"There’s been rumors of war and wars that have been
The meaning of life has been lost in the wind
And some people thinkin’ that the end is close by
’Stead of learnin’ to live they are learnin’ to die
Let me die in my footsteps
Before I go down under the ground"

He just used one wrong word.
When native said:
"proactive" wasn't quite the right term. "Radioactive" is the word (s)he should have used.
"US govt/military = bad. Russian govt/military = bad. Any politician wanting power = bad. Anyone wielding power = bad." --Shahryar
"All power corrupts absolutely!" -- thanatokephaloides
Shush. We must not speak of that.
native
Obama has already gone after Syria.
I've seen lots of changes. What doesn't change is people. Same old hairless apes.
That is exactly how I took that comment
and I didn't find that optimistic in any sense of that word. As for her social policies, I don't believe her there either. Sure, she may not DO anything overt to get rid of abortion or gay marriage, but she won't do anything proactive there to really protect those things either. And if she so much as attempts anything truly meaningful there, which I highly doubt, Repugnants will be all over that and once again we'll be treated to absolute grid lock. Climate action we can totally forget as she needs those donors for re-election.

Native, this needs to be diared. :-)
I agree with a lot of it. It's a foregone conclusion that $hrill won't get my vote. 2 reasons: Fracking/Climate Change, Endless War. I'm fine with money making. Just don't wreak everything for the rest of us in the meantime, greedballs!

You know those guys who stand on street corners...
...with signs that say, "The End Is Near!"? I think the times may have finally caught up with them...
I want my two dollars!
if these two mainstream Candidates
manage to set the new standard, for what the qualifications are,
just imagine how low those standards will go, in the next 10 or 20 years.
Like that graphic says, Trump dangerously incoherent, Hillary
coherently dangerous. I think a lot more unnecessary death on the way for this world.
