Does Hillary Clinton have major health issues that we are not aware of?

Recently I have come across several people posing this question, and there are some credible arguments to be made.

There was the video of her apparently having a seizure.

[video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hd4NH9jKNas]

Then I have seen several images of what looks to be a hole in her tongue.

hillarys-tongue1.jpg

Then there was the decidedly odd reaction to protesters by Clinton and her handlers.

What was also noticed was not just the comments the aid that rushed to her was saying by itself but when it appears that he was also carrying an Epi-Pen injector of Diazepam in an earlier photo. (A drug used in the treatment of seizures.)

Aide 1.jpg

Aide 2.jpg

With the first video, I thought she was maybe trying to be goofy and acting like the tea was just really great possibly, but when coupled with the problem with the stairs, the tongue, her earlier hospitalization, avoiding the press for months, etc. I am seriously starting to wonder about her condition.

It certainly makes her VP selection that much more concerning as well.

What are your thoughts? Is this a nothing-burger or yet another example of Clinton being less than truthful?

of the stuff and she said it was hard to tell for here (and she was getting ready for work so didn't really study it or anything) but she felt that something seemed odd.

I was a bit surprised by some of the comments though that seemed to want to slam speculation about such things. That was new to me because we speculate quite a bit here, and often those speculations are later substantiated.

Almost gave me TOP flashbacks, lol! Wink

Alot of her behavior is just strange, I don't know quite how to describe it. I don't think Hillary is a "people person in general, she doesn't seem to connect well with other people or understand what they're feeling. But a lot of the way she acts is bizarre beyond that, it's like she's in her own world and fails to get obvious clues from her environment. It's not that her responses to many questions are off putting or offensive, it's that they're also totally irrelevant and make no sense.

insulated from the real world by lots of money. She's always had that, aggravated by hitching her wagon to a rising political star and getting the further isolation that comes with high office. She knows less about how people really live than George H.W. Bush.

What's worse is, she doesn't really care, and her efforts to pretend that she does ring insincere and hollow.

Add possible brain dysfunction on top of that (because no bubble-isolation, no matter how total, results in the weird physical reactions seen in those circulating clips) and this is not someone you should want warming the chair in the Oval Office.

Not that I want The Rump doing it either.

When the protesters interrupted her rally/speech.

It's less obvious than the vigorous head shaking in the coffee shop, but if you watch closely, she starts squinting and kind of "zones out," for lack of a better term. And, when her handler rushes up to say "Keep talking" the first time, she does that weird laugh thing. She appears not to know how to keep talking -- as if she's lost the thread. When he prompts her again, she says, "Okay, we're going to keep talking."

She's not well.

I read and participated in Alligator Ed's essay and agreed then that his premise seemed plausible. I hadn't seen the rally video then; now I'm even more convinced. While we may never know exactly what her health issues are, it seems clear to me that something serious is going on that could absolutely interfere with her ability to do the job. What, is her handler going to babysit her during every meeting with foreign leaders in which things might get tense? What happens when she forgets what the topic was?

gulfgal98's picture

She looked like a deer in headlights, completely lost and confused looking. The very fact her handler had to ask her if she was okay and then remind her to keep talking is disconcerting when you think that episode was minor compared to what she will be facing if she is elected President. I also go back to what Huma Abedin wrote in an email to another staffer when she said that Hillary is often confused. We need some one who can think with a clear head under pressure and yet the slightest amount of pressure seems to unnerve Clinton. It is not reassuring to me as a citizen.

if she's not well and yet people are covering up for her. A damned big deal.

Put the rumor mill to rest. I know that's asking a lot of this particular candidate, but if ever there was a "line in the sand" that said "That's it--stop right there, this is someone's MENTAL HEALTH that is at question", this is it.

There's a clear, demonstrable basis for concern here. It makes me wonder why any otherwise-reasonable person would deny that so strongly.

I want to be clear, that I find her behavior concerning but am not sure of the cause. She does not, nor has ever, seemed to handle stress very well nor to think very well on her feet. This one episode is simply a good case of that. I just think that the fact someone has to tell her to do what should come naturally is not a good sign.

I don't think she's showing signs of having seizures or Parkinson's Disease. Parkinson's Disease symptoms result in a flat affect, which means your expression never changes. It looks like you're sad all of the time. It is also associated with stiffness of the limbs like the person is walking or moving their arms through molasses. Finally, there is an unmistakable tremor, described as "pill-rolling" where the thumb and index finger move back and forth. Could Hillary be on anti-Parkinson medication, like Michael J. Fox? Yes, but that results in a lot of unwanted movement of the whole body which is easy to spot.

What we saw on the video isn't very likely a seizure, though it is bizarre. Her facial expressions never let us know anything is wrong, and we don't typically see people smile through seizures. This would have to be a brief partial seizure, if it was a seizure. It certainly appears strange.

I do think that something's wrong with Hillary, though it's more in her heart than her brain. Not that it matters one iota, I'm board certified in Internal Medicine. That doesn't make me right, or all-knowing. I'm just applying some general medical knowledge here.

In the chai video, HRC could simply be theatrical in her reaction to a bevy of questions and microphones thrust close in her personal space.

The "hole in the tongue" and the "aide with epi-pen" I can't respond to. They are or are not evidence of something.

But I'm curious about the obsession today.

It's not like any medical issue short of death would induce anyone in charge in the Dems to ponder an alternative candidate. Hillary's their gal, riddled with ailments or not. So what's the goal with this discussion?

Jill, let's be honest, will be lucky, even with our determined help, to get the 5% vote she needs to improve the Greens' chances of being heard in 2020 and beyond (assuming there is a beyond).

So the only one who could benefit from this discussion is Trump. Now, if the goal is to elect Trump, then allege whatever you think will work to get people afeared of Clinton in the Oval Office (I personally have a lot of reasons to be afeared of that, but they're not medical).

Otherwise, why aren't we focusing past this election, in which our roles can be little more than symbolic (#NeverHillary) or strategic (5%), and exploring what will move the Movement forward before 2020 comes around? I'm just not getting how holes in tongues do that.

Seems a distraction to me. . . .

Drudge went with a February tube, all this past weekend, shrieking that The Mad Bomber is sicker than Frankenstein. First his disintering of the January Iranian claim settlement; then this thing. All part of his desperate campaign to distract from the fact that his fellow nincompoop, The Hairball, is a daily tire fire. And, in both cases, his nonsense then breathlessly traveled here. I think I shall start driving by Drudge every morning, so I'll know what I can expect to later find here.

Remember when Bill Frist looked at some tubes and from that confidently concluded that Terri Schiavo was not in a persistent vegetative state? Wasn't that Kool? Wasn't that just the sort of behavior that all should always emulate?

the- we should focus elsewhere- comments. There is plenty of time and space to focus on whatever one chooses. I go through all kinds of subjects on the net and in hard copy (no kindle for me) on a daily basis. What's wrong with discussing this?

On the topic, I have been thinking and saying for the past few months that Hillary did not look well. At the start of the campaign I thought she looked great. She appears to have put on a lot of weight. She is less sure in her movements (which may be a result of the weight gain) and she looks haggard a lot. When you couple these things with the fact that she spends inordinate amounts of time out of the public spotlight for a national candidate, it's not surprising that people are becoming suspicious.

Not this:"So the only one who could benefit from this discussion is Trump." But the American people, as well as the rest of the world, deserve to know how much truth is in this. This has nothing to do with Trump. It's about finding out the truth regarding Hillary's health.

Alligator Ed's essay goes into great detail, and I hope we'll learn more. It's for sure we won't get anything from a Democrat or TPB, or the MSM. So it's up to us to find out the truth.

Why is one of her guards a medical person, carrying OPEN a pen to treat seizures. Not in its case, but OPEN and ready to use. This just has to be explained. I think we deserve the truth.

I also keep remembering Bernie Sanders did NOT "give up" his delegates. He did NOT turn them over to make it unanimous. Think that's interesting too.

Seriously? Why would I entertain such a possibility even if I did approve of her otherwise? Come on! The expectation of full physical capacity is something they would hide and did hide. And I want to say there's at least one President where something afflicted his mental capacity after he was already in office, and of course, this is what "contingency plans" are all about, and of course they proceeded to apply on some level. Because there they were, they were already in it.

But before they take the job? Full mental capacity is a reasonable expectation going in. Isn't it? How can anyone deny that?

A label of CT over there probably has no bearing on the truth or falsehood of the item eliciting their reaction. The reaction is almost entirely independent of the truth or falsehood of the item, but is dependent solely on whether it might affect Hillary positively or negatively.

FTR, I think trying to diagnose Hillary with a notoriously difficult diagnosis like epilepsy based on video and advice from Dr. Google is unseemly. It's hard enough to know what's going on when a patient has a seizure right in front of me, if it's an atypical type.

I think whatever is wrong medically with Her Heinous, they will brush it under the rug. All it takes is one doctor willing to declare her fit for the Presidency.

I also have stated elsewhere that I think this is not something to spend a lot of time on, because since we can't prove anything, people will just feel sorrier for her being "picked on". She might pick up a few sympathy votes. And I don't particularly care whether she, Bill, or Tim Kaine is the real President (I don't want any of them).

But none of this is CT (conspiracy theory). All it takes is her determination to move forward no matter what, and her ability to find one doctor willing to go along with her (while any others she consults must remain silent or go to jail according to HIPAA).

where speech and cognition were both affected. You could not totally tell she was having one just by looking, but there could be somewhat of a blank stare at times. These were when she was medicated, without meds she'd have had grand mals. She would not be able to answer you while having one and did not understand or remember what you had said after it was over. There was also an emotional component, as it was highly frustrating and scary for her when she had one.

And that video of Shillary with those reporters and their looks of shock at how she was moving her head makes me think Shillary is having some type of episode. Maybe these are temporary and are part of whatever condition she has or has had, but I still think she needs to explain that. Yes, we'll never get that from her as to do that would make her look weak and old, and that isn't a real positive when running for POTUS. But to say this doesn't have any bearing on her ability to do that job is pretty simplistic to say. I've seen what my mother went through, and thankfully for her she never had one of her episodes out in public or while driving a car - but she could have, and stress made hers a lot worse than they would be without the stress. And I don't think this keeps Shillary from doing the job, but it will mean she will have be aware of her limitations, something I don't see her being able to do very well.

Ever hear of a gelastic seizure, also known as a laughing seizure? Nothing funny about it.

The first video of the "seizure" looks like she tried to do a "double take" or surprise motion with her head to be humorous, but that once started she had some trouble controlling it. Think of Michael Jay Fox on TV working to control his motor functions and suppress symptoms.

I have seen this sort of behavior in people (friends/relatives) with Parkinson's or other tremor/motor control issues. Stress tends to make symptoms worse for many of these issues, a debate is much more controlled than a press conference, particularly the type she is likely to encounter. It would be much more stressful.

As far as the epipen, perhaps some drug to help her motor control and/or stabilization of neural over stimulation. Not a doctor, so have no idea.

I would suspect something on that order to be the most likely.

Presumably, some sort of motor control issue, such as Parkinson's should not impair cognitive function in the near term, say 4 years.

As far as the whole in the tongue? A piercing? Maybe she was Goldwater Goth Girl in her youth? Although there really was not a goth movement that I know of at the time.

This is a movement disorder often seen on people who have taken large doses of antipsychotics (not applicable to Mr. Fox) and quite frequently in late stage Parkinson's disease. Medusa has none of the other usual signs: resting tremor, blank facies, short-stepped gait, difficulty turning, reduced and slow blinking.

tardive dyskinesia, thus producing similar symptoms to the ones they are supposed to be suppressing. (Not a pharmacist, but I read the fine print on the information packet that comes with my partner's anti-Parkinsons pills.)

One thing I have been concerned about was the size of her blood clot.
Here is the total extent I know about blood clots in the brain: My 92 yr old father fell, smacked his head, developed a large blood clot. The way it was explained to me was at some age, the brain is no longer springy, and when the blood clot is removed, there is left a "dent". That dent is where fluid will collect, and lots of other problems will ensue.
She was in her 60's. How springy and spongey was her brain? How big was the clot?
Dad eventually died from his fall. He was raving, fighting, bat shit crazy for about 2 weeks after the clot was successfully removed. I mean, the hospital had to put him in some sort of bed cage.
As I said, this is all I know, and it was from the crack trauma team at Herman Memorial Hospital, Houston, Tx, the top trauma center in Houston, if not the state.

It's still impossible to say "I'm not a doctor" without someone saying "but I play one on TV." I was tempted myself but resisted. Smile

Beware the bullshit factories.

In 2000 I had surgery for a massive brain tumor. The doctors said that all was well, but I have had problems ever since then.
Thanks for telling me about my springy, spongy brain. I guess that I thought that once the tumor was removed my brain would spring back into its normal shape. Now I understand that it is not so simple.

trying for a specific diagnosis on a blog. See, to me, nobody has to be a doctor to feel this is important or even talk about it. The simple fact that any candidate's cognitive and neurological health being 100% would seem to be a given as "part of the job description", when the candidacy is for the Presidency. That all these candidates disclose something medical that might affect their ability to carry out their duties. That is as true for Hillary Clinton as it is for every other candidate. That's how it's always been that I know of.

That it's a question at all whether there is a condition anywhere in the general vicinity of "seizure" from an as-yet-undiagnosed source (that we know of) is reason enough to be concerned. There is nothing wrong with talking it through and determine if it should be something that factors into anyone's voting decision.

Beyond that, the ridicule and shaming for being concerned about it has got to stop. Seriously, it's a valid question. I do not understand how anyone can believe otherwise.

No matter the videos, her current isolation, I would like to address the one thing that we learned from her drs.
Blood clot on the brain.
What about that?
Nobody can deny she has physically "changed", and not for the better.
We are not Fristing her.
We want answers, assurances that we will have a better country, a better world, and that we do not have another Reagan Alzheimer's secret foisted upon us.

Supposedly that's debatable, but we didn't have the Internet then, so who knew, until much, much later? Had we known, would we have voted for him? I daresay, possibly not. Back then, not a lot was known about the disease, and that would have concerned voters. As it should!

And yes, agreed! There should be no question going in, before the election, of any candidate's mental acuity. This situation must be fully-disclosed, so people can make a determination of their vote with as many facts as possible at their disposal. I think my initial reference was with you feeling like you had to claim "I am not a doctor" up front, none of us should have to do that, it's perfectly reasonable for us to want to know, and to even share anecdotal experience! But re-reading it, perhaps it gave (indirectly) the impression that I disagreed with your bigger point, absolutely not!

I only saw the "seizure" video in the the past week, but I've been bothered about her for some time. I have had 3 "TIA"s. With the third, there were symptoms, but they then found "scars" in my brain from 2 others. On the 3rd, I was simply sitting in the kitchen on a bright, sunny day. I looked away, then looked back at something, and there was distortion. I went to a room with the TV on, and none of the people had a left eye; everything else about the faces was normal. Then I went to the computer with text, and it was just a big jumble, made no sense. I knew I was in trouble, went to the ER, the nurse asked if I could read a simple chart on the wall. No, I could not, and I was also very confused. This was in 2004, no recurrences, and I look "normal". At the time of the TIA, I had always been a very active reader, read 3 newspapers a day, etc. When this happened, it would take me close to 1/2 hour to struggle through a paragraph. I really had an issue with letters that had a "tail", b, g, d, p, h. For months I made myself look at the computer and read things, and slowly, I made progress, to the point that I can now read articles in a newspaper and NOT be totally stressed before I could read the page where the article was "continued". Now, 12 years later, my short term memory is terrible, I used to be a math whiz, now I turn numbers around, whether it's a phone number or checkbook entry. Then, if I find out there's a mistake, say in balancing the bank statement, I cannot find it, because I will see it the same way every time. There are often times that I know a simple word that I want to use in writing, but absolutely cannot recall how to spell it. Too often, I will be conversing with someone and have no idea of who or what I want to say. It's like my brain has been rewired, but in a way that there is no road map. As for Hillary, when I see her in the situations that make people suspect something is amiss, I am seeing that same person that I was for so long after the event. Something, it looks to me, is wrong with the way her brain is working. All I know about it is that I have a "body memory" of seeing her confusion and inability to find/get out the right word. I agree that we absolutely need to know what is going on with her. Knowing the Clintons, we will never get the truth, unless something dramatic and public happens, after which they will make up another lie to fit. As I said, I look and act and sound "normal", but I'm not. I've learned to function and was so very lucky to be able to get this far back. This needs to be addressed, whether it will be or not remains to be seen. I can see her tucked away in the White House and never see her again, Bill will just take over! That would be as honest as anything else they do.
