Comey scheduled to go before congress today to explain his decision and that may be a tough one...

According to the NY Times

This could end up being particularly troubling for him considering his statement that, "No reasonable prosecutor" would bring such a case to trial.

Well, turns out Comey may have "misspoken."

Seems like there were at least 4 so far that have been done, one of which was covered by TYT yesterday that was strikingly similar, but wait, there's more! If you act now you can get at least 3 more similar cases for free!

That's right, the Justice Department has prosecuted at least 4 cases similar in nature to Clinton's.

I guess he could always say, "Well, I am not a prosecutor, I guess it's a good thing we got the AG able to step in still and file those charges."

One has to wonder, was this his intent the entire time?

If so, this guy needs to give Obama eleventy-third dimensional chess lessons. Smile

In a letter to Mr. Comey, Mr. Johnson on Wednesday demanded to know .... an explanation of the difference between “extreme carelessness” — the phrase Mr. Comey used the characterize Mrs. Clinton’s behavior — and gross negligence, a prosecutable offense.

I know I have a bunch of questions I'd like to ask. Mine would mostly have to do with Bryan Pagliano.

First would be...

"Could you explain to us in detail what testimony was given to the FBI by Bryan Pagliano in exchange for his immunity?"

Followed by...

"Did Bryan Pagliano ever move to or setup a server for Hillary to the offices of Bill Clinton and the Clinton Foundation in Manhattan?"

then...

"While the server was located in in the Manhattan office, where was the server located and who had access to it?"

and...

"Can we have a copy of the transcripts from your conversations with Bryan Pagliano?"

followed by...

"Is Bryan Pagliano free to openly discuss the testimony he gave your investigators in front of this committee and the general public?"

That should be enough to keep Comey busy for a while!

The investigation took an unusually long time. It was an FBI independent investigation and neither the White House nor the DOJ were briefed. They were in the dark for as long as the public was.

Meanwhile, 12 to 20 full time agents worked on the investigation for 8 solid months, after they finally received all of the email data. That's a lot of work hours, considering there's almost nothing to show for it.

So were Comey's own passions driving the investigation, even after nothing substantial or meaningful was emerging? Some inside the FBI were baffled by the lack of conclusions, as well. It is unthinkable that Comey was not aware that certain levels of government are never prosecuted, post 9/11, if for no other reason than to establish an always impenetrable wall between themselves and justice. It mattered not at all what the email investigation uncovered… because terrorism.

So what took so long?

A month or so ago, I quoted blogger Nina Illingworth, who wrote about this:

"I don’t know James Comey personally, but I’ve read enough about him to know that he’s not a slack-jawed, incompetent fucking moron like Gowdy.

"Once it was clear to Comey that Hillary was almost certainly guilty of some form of criminal misconduct, he undoubtedly set his mind to proving it beyond the tiniest fraction of a doubt – at least in part because Comey had worked on the largely unsuccessful Whitewater investigation back in the day and he’d seen first hand exactly how slippery Clinton could be if you didn’t have everything lined up just perfectly.

"Although it’s popular among left-leaning thinkers to dismiss the entire Whitewater scandal as a bunch of Republican nonsense, the fact that multiple people (including Arkansas Governor Jim Guy Tucker) went to jail over it, makes it clear that isn’t entirely the case. Regardless of whether he was right or not, Comey deeply believed that the Clintons had repeatedly and willfully obstructed investigation into their affairs – he even went so far as to call it “a highly improper pattern of deliberate misconduct.” In other words, while Comey seems highly scrupulous for a Republican, he’s intimately aware of the stunning, even criminal lengths the former Secretary of State will go to keep her (potentially criminal) offenses secret.

"While again, I’m only speculating here, it wouldn’t entirely surprise me if Comey saw the Clinton email server investigation as an unexpected and highly fortuitous “second crack” at defeating one of the most dishonest, elusive and corrupt politicians in US history."

It seems pretty apparent the end result was predetermined. It also appears the timing of the announcement was also well orchestrated. Had they made this type of announcement before a majority of states had actually voted in the primaries, Bernie would be the presumptive nominee, not Hillary.

The dance move now, is to get this all wrapped up before the convention. Lynch's impromptu with Bill, the speedy scheduling of the short interview with Hillary, the almost instantaneous announcement of the verdict and now, the foot race to Congress to immediately answer any questions and quell any further inquiry?

With the recommendations from the FBI, why did they even bother interviewing Hillary? Does anyone think, for even a moment, there was something said in that interview that in any way affected their recommendations? This was just another in a long list of theatrical presentations made for the benefit of the wealthy and powerful at the expense of the rubes and taxpayers.

That must form the much-vaunted experience she's revered for by some of her most strangely corporate-friendly, ethics-despising supporters... how Presidential, if you respected Nixon for his bald-faced lying and Constitution-trampling.

What people in which country will feel safe if she's President? Especially including Americans?

The Neocon quest for global Empire Rulership — which is now being forced due to the competitive greed and neurological mutations inside their shadow government cartel — means the US must act the brutal weaponized psychopath of the world.

Hillary Clinton was born to play this role. She has demonstrated to the world that's she's "The One." The monsters among us — the Neocons embedded at strategic levels inside the Federal government and at their councils and think-tanks — now openly encircled Hillary in support. Dick Cheney, for example. Like marionettes held up by strings of fear, the American people are so easily manipulated. It is your fellow Americans who will directly determine your destiny, not the Neocons, who are here to establish a better race. One race to rule them all.

What people in which country will feel safe if she's President? Especially including Americans?

None, of course. Her only plan for US domestic issues is to step up the asset-stripping of Americans in order to fund the next thrust toward US Global Totalitarianism.

Who better?

Can you use your votes to ensure Hillary's defeat and the defeat of the Democratic Party Establishment? Can you convince other Americans to do so? It may be the last chance you have to take control.

We know that Hillary was told that she couldn't use her Blackberry inside her offices at the State Department because it was not secure, could be hacked and used as a listening device. They made her put it in a secure box inside her offices.

Yet she nonetheless used it out in the hallway to access at least 100 emails classified top secret. And that is even setting aside the server in her basement, serviced by an aide without security clearance, hosted by companies without security clearance. Think of all the eyes she knew of that had access to this material without authorization, not even considering the possibility of hacking.

What am I missing here? That looks to me like gross negligence. Willfull indifference to security.

If she took a briefcase full of top secret papers and left it unlocked on a public street, how would that be any different?

The bombshell Comey dropped in his short statement was that marked, classified materials were on her server, materials that were not retroactively classified. That's the first time the public has had this information because Clinton all along claimed it was not the case. In other words, she's lied again.

I had to visit the US Embassy in Malaysia to get some documents notarized. I was not allowed to bring my cell phone onto the grounds of the Embassy. I had to leave it at the guard station before I could go through the door. I believe they also locked it in a box. I'm not sure what threat I posed but my cellphone was allowed anywhere near the inside of a building. Yet Hillary can take her unsecured phone inside the Department of State? What am I missing here?
