Introduction to an Operatic aria to be sung by Huma Abedin

Ladies and gentlemen, knowing that many of you are fond of music, be pleased to learn that in just a few short hours we shall the pleasure of listening to Soprano Huma Abedin emote on travails experienced wandering through the quicksand in search of...oh, I forgot what she was searching for--but I do know on whose behest she was searching. As in a Wagnerian opera, which typically last far too long, Ms. Abedin will sing arias worthy of Der Meistersinger. Remember, that this presentation will serve as prelude to a command performance by Dame Hilllary, adapted for modern listeners in a tonality dominated by fifths (Arnold Schoenberg would be proud). But Dame Hilllary's musical selection will be from "Die Goetterdamerung".

I am fortunate to present portions of Ms. Abedin's libretto: emailgate number 6

Although, somewhat ungainly, this aria is illuminating:

Subject: Follow up

Dear Lauren and Huma—

I have just realized I have no idea how my papers are treated at State. Who manages both my personal and official files?

I am sending out material the way I did w Lauren in the Senate, but I don’t know what’s happening w it all. For instance, I’ve sent a few things to Cheryl but she says she hasn’t read them. Does Claire manage this or does it all go to Joe? Are there personal files as well as official ones set up? If I don’t write anything on paper – as I mostly don’t – Lauren knew how to file it all in the Senate. I’m sending out a mix which sometimes Claire and other times Lauren picks up from the out box. What happens then is a mystery to me!

So, I think we need to get on this asap to be sure we know and design the system we want. Let me know what you both think. Thx.

We’ve discussed this. I can explain it to you when I see u today.

Then, as accompanied by violins, Ms. Abedin will sing about intoxicating mixture of toil for two masters, both named Clinton:

The new emails also show new communications between Clinton Foundation advisers (including Douglas Band), Abedin, and Clinton about the Middle East, and a Haiti “donors” conference. The emails show that Clinton wanted to collect positive comments about her tenure to give to the press reporting on her first 100 days in office. The emails also show that Clinton tried to obtain a job at State for the son of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Then, for those who like fugues (the musical sort, not the psychiatric sort), an off-stage artist will sing the following text as Ms. Abedin continues her shill...trill.

The documents also include a previously released March 21, 2009, classified email document created by then-Clinton Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Strategic Communications and Senior Communications Advisor Phillipe Reines. Reines sent the email from his non-state.gov account with the subject line “Kharzai” to Clinton and Abedin. Reines writes “I think you know my close friend Jeremy Bash is now Panetta’s Chief of Staff at CIA.” The rest of the message is redacted under the National Security Act of 1947, which protects intelligence sources and methods from public disclosure.

“These new emails show Hillary Clinton was more than concerned about the handling of her records – both personal and official,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “What other damaging emails have Hillary Clinton and the Obama State Department withheld from the public?”

Well, opera lovers, so much for this brief teaser of what Tuesday's performance. Tune in again, as I shall publish selected portions of the libretto.

The clock is spinning faster. Anybody paying any attention knows exactly what her setup was. It is also clear that many at Dept of State were aware of the "special circumstances" for SoS Clinton. Someone higher-up the food chain must have been aware, too. And let it pass. Think about that.

This Kabuki dance is getting old. Is there a single person in Washington that does not already know that Hillary violated scores of laws and exposed all types of classified info to anyone who cared to surf her server, and they all did.

Wow totally disagree, the outcome of indicting her would be to save the Democratic Party by having Bernie as the candidate and he would bury Trump.

I mean with all the shit Trump has said if Hillary were a good candidate she would have a 20 pt lead, Bernie would

If HRC is indicted before the convention, and Bernie is not the candidate, there would be Hell to pay. However, I imagine DWS and her ilk would honestly rather have Trump be elected than Bernie. The idea of a President that puts the interests of the people of this country ahead of the interests of Wall St. scares the Hell out of them. They can run against Trump, raise funds, pay their consultants, etc., but they would be completely undermined by a Bernie presidency.

I've cherry picked the wiki article about her. Do you think she influenced $hill to invade Syria at the behest of Saudi Arabia? She might have.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huma_Abedin

At the age of two, Abedin moved with her family to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where she was raised and lived until returning to the United States for college. Abedin began working as an intern in the White House in 1996, assigned to then-First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton.

In 2009, Abedin was appointed deputy chief of staff to Clinton in the State Department,[13] under a "special government employee" arrangement created by the department which allowed her to work for private clients as a consultant while also serving as an adviser to the Secretary of State.[14] Under this arrangement, she did consultant work for Teneo, a strategic consulting firm whose clients included Coca-Cola and MF Global,[14] and served as a paid consultant to the Clinton Foundation, while continuing her role as body woman to Clinton.[14] The New York Times reported that an associate of Abedin's said that the arrangement also allowed her to work from her home in New York City, rather than at the State Department’s headquarters in Washington, to be able to spend more time with her child and husband.[14] After leaving her post at the State Department in 2013, Abedin served as director of the transition team that helped Clinton return to private life,[4][15] continued her work for the Clinton Foundation,[14][15] and set up a private consulting firm, Zain Endeavors LLC

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, Republican of Iowa, raised questions about Abedin's work as a State Department employee, concerning the fact that she held four jobs[20] from June 2012 to February 2013.[14][21][22][23] These included serving as a part-time aide to Clinton at the State Department, while also working as a consultant to private clients for the consulting firm Teneo Holdings,[21][22] a consulting firm run by Douglas Band, a longtime aide to former president Bill Clinton.[24] At the time, she was also being paid a salary for work at the Clinton Foundation, and working as Hillary Clinton's personal assistant.

In 2015, emails by Abedin became part of the FBI investigation and the controversy concerning Hillary Clinton's private email account while Secretary of State,[29][30] resulting in various allegations by Republicans of violations of State Department regulations.[31] Some officials within the intelligence community have stated that potentially-classified information was contained in e-mails from Abedin relating to the 2012 Benghazi attack and its aftermath which had been sent through Clinton's private, non-government server.[29][32][33] So far, 1818 emails contain classified information on the private server, with 22 being classified as Top Secret. "They were not marked classified at the time they were sent, but they did contain classified information when they were originally sent and received." Her aides also sent and received classified information

In a letter dated June 13, 2012, to the State Department Inspector General, five Republican members of Congress—Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, Trent Franks of Arizona, Louie Gohmert of Texas, Thomas J. Rooney of Florida, and Lynn Westmoreland of Georgia—claimed that Abedin "has three family members – her late father, her mother and her brother – connected to Muslim Brotherhood operatives and/or organizations."[38][39][40] The five members of Congress alleged that Abedin had "immediate family connections to foreign extremist organizations" which they said were "potentially disqualifying conditions for obtaining a security clearance" and questioned why Abedin had not been "disqualified for a security clearance.

In February 2016, The Washington Post reported that the United States Department of State issued a subpoena to the Clinton Foundation in fall of 2015. According to the report, the subpoena focused on "documents about the charity's projects that may have required approval from federal government during Hillary Clinton's term as secretary of state" and "also asked for records related to Huma Abedin, longtime Clinton aide who for six months in 2012 was employed simultaneously by the State Department, the foundation, Clinton's personal office, and a private consulting firm with ties to the Clintons"

I wouldn't trust anything coming from dunderheads like Gohmert and Bachmann. And if she is pro-KSA then she's no different than the average politician in the DC bubble. Whatever rosy tint her glasses may (or may not) have developed from living there as a child is most likely negligible in the scheme of things.

Of more concern to me is that she was allowed to work for the State Department and the private sector at the same time. Even if there was nothing nefarious intended in it, it's still inappropriate.

How the hell she was able to work for the state department with this knowledge out there is mind boggling. I don't think she would have been able to get a security clearance with her family's resume and this has been my concerns about the email server.
How many people that read classified information have the proper security clearance to do so? If as many people have said that one reason for the private server was so that people from the Clinton foundation to also the email have security clearance to do so?
This goes directly to the Espionage act as does the emails that were classified after the fact. That is what sent Risen to jail. They classified some of the emails after the fact.
IF it was anyone but the Clintons, charges would have already been made.
But the fact that the republicans knew about Huma and did nothing is also mind boggling.
As someone wrote above, they knew that Hillary was breaking the rules, they just didn't care.

Or at the very least, 2 of the 5 are. I'm not very familiar with the others.

So I'm wondering if it's really true, and if whatever Muslim group they were connected to is REALLY an extremist group, or simply a Muslim group, which to Bachmann and her ilk is automatically extremist. I don't know if all Muslim Brotherhood groups are extremist (could be - I just don't know).

Don't get me wrong, I'm not sticking up for anything Abedin has done, I just don't know that I agree with being judged by family members one cannot control.

The more support she garners from folks who are skilled in telling ethics and laws to f off, the less likely anything damaging will happen to her. The phenomenon of watching old line Republicans surround her while she maintains her Democratic support is appalling. It clearly demonstrates that the differences between the parties are just their logos and choice of social issues to give lip service to.
