Russia claims they have Clinton's "secret" emails. May release them.

"Moscow’s discreet messaging about a possible leak of the traffic, in time to impact the U.S. elections, was designed to pressure faster U.S. legal action on the matter, but was largely due to Russian concerns about possible U.S. strategic policy in the event of a Hillary Clinton presidency."
And the Obama administration has really been putting its thumb in Putin's eye. Why? I am not completely sure other than regime change in Russia is a neocon goal. What has the US been doing?
1. Russia claims that the deployment of the "Ageis Ashore" ABM system is a violation of the 1987 INF treaty.
2. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland (who's husband is uber-neocon, Robert Kagan) was instrumental in engineering the Ukraine coup. The democratically (and I'll admit, corrupt) elected President was overthrown by a band of ultra right-wing nationalists and neo-Nazis with tacit support from the US when he decided to sign an economic agreement with Russia, and not the EU, or the US. Ukraine borders Russia and is the home of the only warm water port that can be used by the Russian navy. Sevatspol.
3. The same Nuland is now urging Cyprus to cut ties with Russia and accept a NATO plan for allowing Turkish troops there. To be fair Russia has used Cyprus for laundering mob money. But then again, so did HSBC and they still do business here.

Man, the US MSM does such a piss poor job of reporting.

Yves has another great article about Warren and the SEC. She talks about Warren going with hrc and how it was predicted she would come into the dem party fold. Very good read - solidifies what we think of Warren since the endorsement.

planning skills. She laid out a plan that she thought kept her safe from anyone finding out what she was up so she hid her emails. Now it's coming out that she just might have ensured that all her emails are in the hands of half the planet, including the Russians.

The only thing she's really good at is taking money for speeches , okaying armaments deals. and lying her pant-suited ass off.

You know that tons of professional, expert hackers got in too. A lot of them are in the employ of various countries throughout the world.

I suspect that everybody but US citizens know what was in those emails. And they know about the influence peddling, too.

Russia would probably rather have Herr Drumpf as POTUS, and so they will release the e-mails during the presidential campaign to sink her campaign. I'm guessing that Russia benefits from a potential Trump presidency rather than a potential Shillary presidency.

At least not when they have leverage against Hillary or perceive Trump to be a more amenable president to deal with. I'm sure Putin knows that Trump is a buffoon and the quickest way to Trump's heart is through flattery, hence the compliments.

Seems to me a less bellicose US President would be a benefit. Although there may be more involved in your comment than just our warmongering. I do agree that Putin could wrap Trump around his burly, shirtless finger, though. Biggrin (yeah, I know that makes no sense, but every time I think of Putin, I can't help but see those series of photos of Putin shirtless - horseback riding, or shirtless - fishing.

Putin can get more agreeable results for Russia (and himself, let's not forget he's a corrupt right-wing neoliberal) either by blackmailing Hillary, or by swindling a buffoon through soothing and flattering language. Putin would want the next US president to be someone he can manipulate.

The point is that people here shouldn't hold their breath for Russia--assuming they have real dirt on her--to sink Hillary during the primary.

I think the GOP is going to blackmail her with the threat of impeachment, and they don't need no Russian emails.

It's gonna be a fun four years of another do-nothing Congress. It would be pretty funny if House Republicans would constantly bring articles of impeachment on the floor like Obamacare repeal motions.

I am busy at work and read about this item on my way into the office during my ride on the commuter train. Anyway, it is a shame that the media does not go after Clinton like they do Trump.

Do not get me wrong, Trump is a douche bag, but Clinton is not much better. They are both pieces of dirt and should be treated that way by the press and both parties. But it is a double standard and the media is in on the fix to elect her. If will be up to us (the truth seekers) to share this information with everyone.

For God's sake, we must do better then to let one of these terrible people to be our next leader.

Reliable intelligence sources in the West have indicated that warnings had been received that the Russian Government could in the near future release the text of email messages intercepted from U.S. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail server from the time she was U.S. Secretary of State. The release would, the messaging indicated, prove that Secretary Clinton had, in fact, laid open U.S. secrets to foreign interception by putting highly-classified Government reports onto a private server in violation of U.S. law, and that, as suspected, the server had been targeted and hacked by foreign intelligence services

Note also the mention of Wikileaks. Hot on these heels we also find this story, from Wikileaks head Julian Assange himself, via USuncut. Assange speaks on an ITV interview program.
In a recent interview with ITV, Assange said the whistleblowing website will soon be leaking documents that will provide “enough evidence” for the Department of Justice to indict the presumptive Democratic nominee. ...

Assange hinted that the emails slated for publication contain additional information about the Clinton Foundation. ...

Wait until after the convention just to put us in turmoil? If they wait until she's sworn in it'll be too late. Or the scary thing. Maybe Putin wants her elected and is just stirrin' the shit.

where neither candidate has been vetted through the primary process -- if things don't play out till after the conventions, it could be a battle of the VP picks for the Presidency. Maybe that's the sort of political turmoil Putin is looking for -- at the very least, it will keep the US from too much meddling in Mideast affairs for a while.

has posted some of the redacted emails on State letterhead. Salt grain included. One is a fully-redacted letter from head of a security company apparently discussing ways to poison the NYC water supply. Blank pages except for a warning about sooner or cleaning up the bodies.

There is higher leverage for Russia to wait until after the Presidential election to leak what they have, if anything. True ratfucking.

"Russia Is Reportedly Set To Release Clinton's Intercepted Emails

Reliable intelligence sources in the West have indicated that warnings had been received that the Russian Government could in the near future release the text of email messages intercepted from U.S. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail server from the time she was U.S. Secretary of State. The release would, the messaging indicated, prove that Secretary Clinton had, in fact, laid open U.S. secrets to foreign interception by putting highly-classified Government reports onto a private server in violation of U.S. law, and that, as suspected, the server had been targeted and hacked by foreign intelligence services.
The reports indicated that the decision as to whether to reveal the intercepts would be made by Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin, and it was possible that the release would, if made, be through a third party, such as Wikileaks.
This has been picked up in mainly right-wing venues, so perhaps it's questionable information, though "Reliable intelligence sources in the West have indicated that warnings had been received" could well be true. Note, however, no attribution as to who sent or who received the warnings.
Note also the mention of Wikileaks. "

I could swear I read that somewhere halfway reliable about the same time Russia annexed Crimea. And it mentioned that Exxon was looking into a deal with them to mine/frack it? I may have even read that at TOP, not sure... Would make sense with Shillary's stand on all things oil. And how nicely we here at home are played to make it look as if Russia is the only aggressor.

But I agree that Putin has nothing to gain from a Bernie Presidency. But the T Rump on the other hand? Hard to say which side he picks there - Exxon or Russia after they smear his opponent? We know Shillary would fight for Exxon and war in Ukraine if it came to it and she'd be just the one to push it.

The people of Crimea overwhelmingly voted to join Russia and Russia voted to allow it. Annexation is a forced transition that the mainstream media and the propaganda from our government wants people to believe as what Russia's involvement was.
