So now Tulsi Gabbard is on the terrorist watchlist. Whistleblowers from the Federal Air Marshals service have come forward to the Air Marshals National Council, a FAM advocacy group and say she is followed onto every flight, even with dogs that sniff out explosives.

About the Democratic VP pick.

I love the way the Breaking Points crew were pretending that Harris gets to make this decision herself. What the eventual choice will tell us is how the Democrats intend to fight this election. Which, all of a sudden, I believe they are taking seriously. Not because they care about you and me. For the Democratic establishment, this election is existential, the last time they get their chances at the plum appointments.

Elections, Selections, Assassinations, and Distortions

It's ironic that we refuse to accept Venezuela's election results... as we observe a coup on Biden, the installation of Kamala, and a Zionist's owned congress applauding genocide and giving Bibi a green light to commit assassinations and continue the genocide. But don’t worry we’ll select Venezuela’s president, you know a Guido 2.0, as we encourage violent protests against the election results (except not Jan.6). Obviously we are deeply democratic. Meanwhile, the US media disappears the Trump assassination attempt and hypes up Kamala in their effort to promote free and fair elections. Another busy week on the news cycle!

Album of the Week 8-3-24

Afternoon folks!

There hasn't been a lot of uploading going on since I went to the beach this week, but I have managed to get a little bit together for you. First, there's an early 70's album from harmonica player Wild Child Butler and an album from old-school blues guitarist Arbee Stidham. You heard some of Arbee's early guitar work last week on some of the cuts of the 1940's Sonny Terry album (which also featured Woodie Guthrie). After that local (to me) artists The Nighthawks contribute an album followed by Roomful of Blues. We finish off (if the code works, my other youtube account was acting funny) with an early 70's album from Screamin' Jay Hawkins.

Enjoy the tunes and have a great weekend!

Saturday Open Thread - 8/3/24 - Odds and Ends

By luck, on some tour in Eastern Europe, I became acquainted with Mary, a woman who lives in Honolulu. Both of us were traveling alone in a group tour, sort of hooked up. She was a 90 country been there traveler, and I was a 60 country been there. Mary was very impressed at where I had been. She had done mostly 1st and 2nd world, I had delved into 3rd word. A lot.

We went on 3 or 4 trips together, had a blast each time, and I adopted her slogan/mantra: "With travel, it's always something."

Lost luggage, flight delays, kerfuffles among the tour group.

With driving trips, it is road construction and GPS that directs you to cattle trails. Seriously.

So, as I write this, I am in a Friday night packing mode, prepping for a 9 hour drive from East Texas to somewhere in Missouri headed, sleepover, then drive to the final destination in Illinois. Response to comments will show up about 8 pm Saturday, more or less.

Packing is a project. 20 degrees difference from here to there. Layers. Shorts and tees, fleece lounge wear, everything in between.

Wish me luck! Not sandals for Texas, but hiking boots for Illinois, so I was informed!

Gaah! There are some very interesting parks, and also historic sites and museums from the Civil War era.
