You may have heard that Victor Orban in Hungary was a threat to democracy. May also have heard that AMLO in Mexico was also a threat to democracy.
What you almost certainly didn't hear was how these two presidents were tremendously popular and why. Let's start with Orban.

Recent polls reveal a continued decline in American voters’ trust in the news media, with 60% feeling that media bias is worsening.

Don't know which is worse, Microsoft trying to train their Chatbot using the lying, propagandizing, mis/dis-informing New York Times, or the NYT trying to monetize their evil by suing to block MS from using their stories.

We're all caught in the ebb and flow of time as the years come and go. The month of January is named for the Roman God Janus who looks forward toward the future and back at the past. His image often appeared on doorways, arches, and gates. This time of year is a good opportunity to look at what has happened, and think about what will come.
