Scheer & Frank Discuss The Democrats Shift Away From Income Inequality

Stumbled over this discussion between Robert Scheer and Thomas Frank over at Truthdig: Scheer and Frank talk about Democrats shift away from addressing income inequality It's an audio but the transcript is provided.

I would say the major takeaway is that a triangulating centrist Democrat President is more effective at delivering Republican policies than a Republican President.

Checking In

Just wanted to say hello. Already on sub Reddit for Sanders and with the long writing here, the two sites make a complete experience.

Lots of dogs and dawgs around here. Thanks to the caucus99percent team for putting this together and for dealing with all the newbies. Will try out the way things work as time goes along.

Thanks again.

Midnight Mulling - building your own network - ad-free! (mostly)

I apologize for posting the earlier evening's Midnight Mulling. But that's part of the learning process I suppose. I hope? And while retracting the publishing and then re-publishing later was an option (thanks!) instead, you have in front of you a brand new "Midnight Mulling," titled "Midnight Mulling - building your own ad-free (mostly) network." The earlier effort, "Midnight Mulling - Susan Smokes (but you can't call her lazy)" is still there too.

Help me out on this.

I have never been a Clinton supporter. I was a Tongas Elector and helped put Ross Perot on the ballot in California twice. I have actually forgotten exactly what I knew about them that made me uneasy then. Not much, but I was vehemently opposed to NAFTA at the time because of what it was going to do to both Mexican and American farmers, and Ross Perot seemed to get that best. (1)

Potential Suggestions for Caucus99Percent

First, I want to say that I already love here. I said this elsewhere, but it's a great change of pace to actually write what you are thinking without having to worry about what pure Democratic party partisans will think about it. I would much prefer to discuss matters of good and bad policy without giving people a pass because they have a D next to their names on the ballot.
