Who knew? The Bump Stock.

If I remember rightly machine guns (auto fire) we're banned in the 1930s.

You can't find them, you can't buy them unless one is a deathly collector with $10,000 bucks to spend and willing to go through years of Federal investigation.

Yet there is this thing. The Bump Stock.

They sell it for $19.99 and you can put it on your Semi-auto AR15 (legal) and turn it into an "auto" with out re-engineering the mechanics.

I really don't want to get into a 2A cluster.

Sickday Open Thread II

OK, guys, I'm really ready for this to end now!

This is one of those diseases where you feel OK, go back to your normal life, and relapse again immediately. It's happened to me twice.

A simple commentary on an economic point

This commentary does not discuss GINI indexes, Quantitative easing, interest rate indexes, or the Laffer curve.

It makes this simple point:

Three (of the) ways that inequality reduces the prosperity of the American people:

1. The direct issue that the wealthy are undertaxed. That money could reduce inequality, going to the rest of America by lowering their taxes and/or invested in them.

Ken Burns' Vietnam - Let us now praise famous grunts

Let us now praise famous men, and our fathers that begat us. The Lord hath wrought great glory by them through his great power from the beginning. Such as did bear rule in their kingdoms, men renowned for their power, giving counsel by their understanding, and declaring prophecies.

(His most disgusting news conference to date): Trump scolded Puerto Rico for busting his budget

Please excuse the source but there is an actual video on the Crooks & Liars website of this jackass actually saying the following:

Trump said, " Nick Mulvaney is here. And Nick is in charge of a thing called "budget."

He continued, "Now I hate to tell you Puerto Rico, but you’re throwing our budget a little out of whack, because we’ve spent a lot of money on Puerto Rico, and that’s fine, we’ve saved a lot of lives.”
