Thank you to the community of C99. I have read and re-read all the wonderful comments, poems and listened to the music you sent my way. So much of what you said has become a permanent place in my heart that will give me solace as I move forward in my life learning how to continue with such a void. Divine Order and I celebrated our 48th anniversary this past December and were seldom apart so this is a new learning experience for me. Your kind words will help me as I move along this path.

I never really had TOP withdrawal, and I've never looked back there. This site has filled part of the void and served parts of their function for me - most importantly as an occasional outlet for writing about (mostly political) stuff bouncing around in my head, but more generally a place to find common ground with fellow travelers, even though we may disagree on details. Whether I'm writing and participating in discussions, or just reading, I like the level of the discourse.

If i could tell you how being showered with a tsunami of love feels, I would. But I’ve not that great a gift with words, though wordsmith on occasion I attempt to be, this thank-you can not reach the heights of the largesse you good people deserve.

In deepest respect, the following has been composed in hopes I do not “overstep the bounds of modesty” as my foolish center-stage ego is wont do do on occasions. I’m leaning on great artists and metaphor to do the heavy lifting for me.
