and your Mom, well. Especially, as you confront your own serious medical issue.
We've all missed you very much. Great to have you back with us.
Within the past several months, at least two politicians (Carter and a Governor--forget which state) announced that they had very serious cancer, metastisized or advanced stage. After several months, both are cancer free.
I wish the same for you, Smiley. You have our support, I'm sure you know that. Please let us know how you're faring.
My best to you--
Mollie

Everyone thinks they have the best dog, and none of them are wrong.
Adjusting to reality, and the new path set by consequence. Never would anyone have expected my strong-willed Mom to fail mentally and she is fighting, bless her soul.
The cancer bothers me as I write; what's that devil inside, stirring with the genes. Hard not to be selfish even though Daddy taught me not to be.
Not my first avalanche, but a pressing one; and I am struggling to make ends meet in many ways. Yet, I wish to bare-up, be, understand and acknowledge others have more difficult issues and conditions than me, little 300 billionth me; that's the challenge maybe, to find the ultimate peace of understanding.
Anyway, i was reluctant to share the news at c99, but when I did the other evening, you folks responded and touched me. This diary is my simple response.
it is just good to see an old friend without a whole lot of words. Smiley, you are among the best of peoples around here. I do miss your classical music selections here too.
I remember seeing Alfie and enjoying Micheal Caine's performance so much. To this day, he is one of those actors whose acting transcends the the script he is given.

Yes, it seems like yesterday when Alfie premiered in our youth, asking questions Mrs. Robinson followed with soon thereafter; bringing together a collective, more universal way of understanding--the lost battalion coming together as it were, the beak-nicks' revival--motivating a generation to stand up and demand peace.
Something you do daily, still.
Thank you.
Looking up here. Boss called, we begin Santa tomorrow night at an Olympic ice-skating event. Not a good forecast for xmas week skiing but at least a few cold nights this weekend.
I was hoping this place would carried over the strong community presence that was built at Joe's Evening Blues, and by cracky, I believe it has. We all need each other, now more than ever. Your return has filled a void that I and others have felt for several months, you are our cultural ambassador. Welcome back, my friend and thanks for the essay, and may you post many, many, many more.

I understand however that real life takes president over the virtual and life these days is a constant barrage of dealing with basic survival unless your set up (Obama likes to say responsible) or a delusional edjet. I love your musical choices they are always quirky off the beaten track and inspiring. Hope all your troubles will be resolved and wish you and yours the best. Love your spirit and think somehow it will prevail and soar.
I hope all your troubles like bubbles are blown away...
It's life and life only....a question's lit.
All the Mozart pop tines I could find for you were at least 15 minutes long. I came up with this instead. don't ask me how. bought this album for the cover and liked it despite the cover.
