But yet, when you're assaulted in an alley (dancing in the pale moon light?) or someone threatens your family, you need to act.
After 8 years of appeasement and failed "red lines" we have

Ukraine
Crimea
Syria
Weapon deals with Iran
Accords with China
And on and on it goes
