Know Your Rights - All Three of Them!
Some songs have been stuck in my head lately. The songs are very, very good anti-government and anti-war music, dating to the late 1970s, and early 1980s.
For example, how's about this song from the Clash - Know your Rights. The lyrics take the form of an announcement by an unnamed, unknown, government official.

Sometimes all I can do is shake my head when reading analyses of the 'news' which is pumped out to us daily.
New World, Same as the Old World
I started reading a new (new to me) book last night about the history of UK punk from 1980-1984 called Burning Britain by Ian Glasper.
I expect to receive a lot of negativity for this essay. I'm okay with that. I care more about facts than I do the opinions of others, and I am aware that truth can hurt more than bullshit can, and that people lash out when they hurt.
Gun ownership. Crime. Economy. Police forces. Race. So many things intertwine together when trying to look at crime rates that it gets confusing and difficult to tell what is causing what to change, and what is being influenced by something else.
