Good Morning. If we live long enough most of us will experience a period of physical and mental disability ourselves or a close loved one. Acknowledging the possibility frees us to tackle the societal and political challenges. The most resilient individuals I have known had disabilities. The greater the limitation the more creativity required.

I had an open thread all set to publish this morning at 7:15 as usual ... but the shooting in Santa Fe, Texas moved me to post the following thoughts and videos and sound clips instead. There will be no separate look into the history of May 22nd.

I find no open thread, nor any mislabeled column by Phillybluesfan. Not to usurp anything, but I figure I'd put a container up until Philly pops in with something.
