Fun Stuff!
Recently I found a new (to me) website full of satire, sarcasm and some really laugh inducing articles. It's called The Hard Times. It's 'Punk News Coming Your Way'. And it's pretty darn funny.
It's like The Onion, but with a different slant. I saw a link to an article about a black metal vocalist moonlighting as a face painter, and HAD to visit. And it was worth it!
So here's a bit more fun from the site: 'Trump Lowers Ozempic Cost So SNAP Recipients Can Afford to Suppress Appetite' I love the last line: 'At press time, Trump was preoccupied watching a child drown in a lake as he stood motionless. '
And this article on Fetterman: If he were worth the effort, I would hate that guy for how much he's gone against everything he said he was for when he ran but, he's not worth the effort. Still, this article made me laugh and snicker in agreement, 'Fetterman Liberal Again After Second Fall'.
And finally, an older article for the travelers amongst us (and everyone else): '24-Year-Old Metalhead Passes for 48-Year-Old Dock Worker '. I ain't young enough to be the metalhead or the dock worker, but I sure like the idea of traveling that way!

To my mind, the primary story continues to be the fall of the US empire and the rise of the BRICS+ alliance. The repercussions of the empire's death throes appear to be war and more war amid economic collapse. Seems to me, the possible (likely?) illegal Venezuelan war is a distraction from the rapidly approaching loss in Ukraine, the on going Gaza genocide and Zionist aggression in Syria and Lebanon, the economic misery of so many US citizens, and the revelations in Epstein files. I find it amazing how the people are fooled time after time...WMDs in Iraq seems the same lie as drugs in Venezuela...we are lied into war time after time.
Afternoon folks!
This week finishes off my collection of the American Folk Blues Festival recordings, I am pretty sure that's all of them that were made and commercially distributed. It's an excellent series that features quite an array of blues musicians. Also this week, from the diversity department is an interesting live album from Dave Alvin and the Guilty Men worth checking out.
Enjoy the tunes and have a great weekend!
