A couple commercials

UPDATE I want to thank all the posters for many very interesting suggestions in the responses. I will try them out. And we should let each other know when we discover the sort of reporting, journalism and opinion that is worth reading.

It wasn’t a political night. I was watching hockey. My beloved Pittsburgh Penguins were ahead 2-0 and on their way to taking a 3-1 lead in the Stanley Cup Finals. And then, during a major sporting event, I heard a beep and saw a scroll at the bottom of the screen for BREAKING NEWS!
Therefore, it's no surprise when it behaves like one.
Bernie said there was corruption. Well, we found it.
The only surprise here is that they were this ham-handed and blatant, seriously jumping the gun when there was no need to, using a method which could create a lot more blowback than other, subtler methods.
and I am watching as the program goes from "plucky resistance movement" to "extinction burst" and yet there is the symphony of Root and Shaw (spoiler alert)
There will be another program for those with apocalyptic worries about the global surveillance meta-state and the advances of artificial intelligence.
Unlike the role of individual folks like Manning and Snowden, it will take a community, properly armed.
I apologize in advance for this crappy excuse for a diary, but I'm experiencing a repetitive motion-induced pain up and down my arm and really shouldn't be on a keyboard today!
However, I saw a link to this article on Twitter. It's about 3 weeks old. It's the clearest analysis of the election I've seen yet, and I wanted to draw folks' attention to it.
Here it is. I hope it's useful to you guys. The author is clear-headed and honest.
The mainstream media is electing Hillary Clinton. I think it is purposeful, planned, and intentional. It revolves around profit, because that is the focus of corporations. Maintaining the status quo (especially Citizens United) promotes big media, and profit of the 1% (and really the 0.1%) corporate media mongols. Passing the TPP will accelerate media profits by protecting their “intellectual property” (despite their intellectual bankruptcy). That's why you never hear a MSM TPP story.
I love word play double entendre, puns, limericks or any type of word mischief is appreciated.
Dear Media,
Shall we start a war? How easily you ask that question.
Do you realize what you are asking? Do you have any idea? No, you do not, because it will not personally affect you. You might get some more ratings out of it. You might get an award for talking about it. You might get paid for your memories of the event that you watched through heavy glass.
Allow me, to explain to you, what you are asking.
Before I start I just want to encourage everyone in Arizona to get out and vote. Those of you in Utah and Idaho have the more challenging job of caucusing. I appreciate everyones effort to get out and help us bring forth a revolution!
