I’m wondering why we photograph and why we enjoy looking at what others see.
Good evening all.

Evening all. It seems many around the globe are experiencing heavy weather at the moment.
New Year’s day here brought a gentle, sustained rain we so seriously needed. It was very welcome after two months of relentlessly hot and dry weather.
Good evening all. I hope you are enjoying a warm and cosy evening.
The Pohutakawa tree, showing off for Christmas …
We even have a dusting of snow … thanks to the white Manuka flowers ...
Good evening all. I hope this is the start of a weekend of whimsy and fantasy, or whatever takes your fancy.
Good evening everyone.
Even though it's midday Saturday here, this was my Friday evening's entertainment. I hope your Friday evening holds some pleasure for you ...
Here are some sandstone rocks holding colonies of young mussels and a few oysters ...
Snowing at the moment, but I've just received the latest shot from the Trubble telescope. Here we see the corruption and darkest recesses of the galaxy DNC. Apparently, ethics and legality are of very little concern in this dank, rank and generally mank part of the universe. The hole left of center is where the money gets passed through.
Springtime in Auckland brings warmer temperatures, but so far not much less rain. As much as I love the rain I am really ready for more than just brief intermissions of sun.
Good evening all.
A few photos from a brief stop in Mexico for my nephew's wedding, on my way back home.
Because of a tropical storm that caused quite extensive flooding, the airport was closed and roads were impassable. That meant that half the quests were unable to get to the wedding. The evening of the wedding though was peaceful and clear, and the intimacy of a small group in such a beautiful location was really very nice.
Good evening all, and to all a good night.
