Why Is There No Violent Yellow Vest Uprising in America?

Widespread social violence, extreme income inequality, and rage at perceived injustice are the classical indicators of the onset of political rebellion.

By the indicators that are commonly used to predict violent political insurrection, America, rather than France, should have been the first to erupt into widespread street protests and rebellion. There are factors at work that aren’t being taken into consideration in the standard model, as will be explained, below.

Tuesday's Russian/Syrian/Israeli/French fracas drove home to me how absolutely powerless I am in the face of events. Of course I know that I have no control over what various militaries do half a world away. But, this event emphasized that I have absolutely no idea what just happened (and therefore I have no ability to protest).

On Constitutions which use the word "indivisible": An observation.

This will be a really short Essay, but I think it's a question which needs to be answered.

Has anyone else around here noticed that every time the clause "The State is Indivisible" or equivalent appears in any country's Constitution, that country has a chunk of its land and people who emphatically do NOT want to be part of it?
