A rare feel-good story from Somalia

When it comes to World Cup soccer, Somalia is an after thought.
Somalia is ranked 202 of 211 football nations — 90 places below Zimbabwe in the latest world rankings.
It's been 35 years since Somalia’s last qualifying win, and 10 years since the last victory of any kind. Somalia had lost 27 matches in a row.
That's why last week's game is such a shock.

International Politics Finals - Liberalism Vs. Capitalism

Linda: Good Morning, we're looking at Great Game, with this the Politics final between the Liberals and the Capitalists.

Tom: It wasn't even sure if this match would come off today, as there seems to be a huge amount of fans of the Fascist and Socialist teams boycotting the match.

Linda: Yes it was a shame that the actions of those fans caused the teams themselves to be be barred completely from the competition. Although what a win for the Capitalists, eh Tom?

Tainted Story in Halifax

We'll have to wait to see if this actually turns out to be a good story. It started out to be one.

Kenny Cooley transferred to Halifax West High School as a junior. Things didn't go particularly well at his previous school when he came out as transgender. Now a senior, he pushed the boundaries a bit more this year by trying out and making the football team. He plays wide receiver.
