Submitted by michelewln on Sat, 04/02/2016 - 1:28pmIn my copious spare time from being a 24/7 caregiver I run the Facebook page Food Holidays That May Get Overlooked (https://www.facebook.com/FoodHolidaysThatMightGetOverlooked/) that my niece started and I had to take over when she started working. Okay it is fun and everyone loves food. It also gives a place to share my recipes.
Do I Stand With Girls?
Submitted by UntimelyRippd on Mon, 03/07/2016 - 11:39pmI love the word, "Daughter". I like the sound of it. I like the sound of the phrase, "My daughter". I'm not sentimental about the bizarre english spelling -- it seems ridiculous in contrast with the much more sensible Swedish, "Dotter", but hey. The Swedes don't do the whole "grand" thing either. Your granddaughter via your own daughter is your dotterdotter. Your great-grandmother in straight matrilineal descent is your Mormor's mor. Bork Bork Bork.
Stormi pwns bigot
Submitted by Robyn on Wed, 02/03/2016 - 2:44pmStormi is a Girl Scout. She lives in Herrin, IL. When she tried to make a cookie sale to one of her neighbors, he told her,
Nobody wants to buy cookies from a boy in a dress.
You see, Stormi is transgender. She joined the Scouts last fall.
It made me sad, because I’m a girl.

She immediately wanted to go home, said Kim. She cried when she got home.
Stormi was put into foster care and placed with Kim three years ago through an emergency placement plan. She told Kim she wanted to donate cookies to other kids in foster care.
