Why Don't I Care That Dr. Who is a Woman Now?
or, Am I Still a Feminist?
Part II
So, there is another major essay trying to understand and explain Trump's victory. In case you haven't seen mention of it yet, I am referring to The Nationalist's Delusion, by The Atlantic's senior political editor, Adam Serwer. It is an excellent, though lengthy read, which reaches the usual conclusion: white Americans are bigoted.

Yesterday I warned that the House Armed Services Committee was going to take up the issue of open service by transgender people in the military.
Republicans railed against the Pentagon’s transgender policy on Wednesday, but ultimately did not move to reverse the policy during a debate on the annual defense policy bill.
But there was plenty of bigotry expressed.

They're calling it a "Free Speech Bus." By "they,' I mean The National Organization for Marriage, the International Organization for the Family, and a new hate group called CitizenGO. The latter is a Madrid-based organization with ties to the Church. The leading figure in all these organization is, of course, Brian S. Brown.
"How many Blacks have to have their homes, children, neighborhood, or lives stolen without recourse before someone acts out his rage? How much Israeli-styled occupation policing and graphic videos of police murders is enough for a person to feel hatred for those that do these things?"
I am going to destroy my monitor. Seriously. Every time I click another video on Youtube, this is the ad I get"Hillary Clinton tried to get us a Universal Healthcare system.' You know, the one Ted Kennedy was instrumental in getting through congress. Yeah, that's why you're fighting against it now, right? "Single Payer will never ever happen.' She said early in her campaign.
