Media digs in against withdrawing our troops from anywhere ever again

Two weeks ago I said the MIC had every incentive to botch the Afghanistan withdrawal. If it went smoothly, who knows which militarily occupied nation we might pull out of next?
The news media went into overtime trying to create a climate of fear that we should never pull our troops out of anywhere ever again.

"Killing for the sake of killing": The catastrophe in Afghanistan that the media ignores

If you listen to the media, our withdrawal from Afghanistan was a "betrayal", while our occupation of the country was benevolent and costless. That assumes the media reported on our 20-year long occupation at all.

Biden's Afghanistan Speech

I read the text of Biden's speech today, not having the courage to watch it yesterday, perhaps because I was afraid of him being too weak, perhaps because I was afraid his critics would be too awful.

Where are the new polls about Afghanistan?

When it comes to say, a presidential debate, there are snap polls within the hour, and more comprehensive polls the very next day.
However, with the debacle in Afghanistan, which has been happening all week now, I have not seen any new polls. Instead you have the media universally spinning this as "we shouldn't have pulled out".

Won't anyone think of the poor CIA?

You people are so selfish. All you want is to end a pointless war after merely 20 years, and tens of thousands of innocent civilians being murdered.
But have you given even a thought about the wants and needs of the CIA, you selfish bastards?
No! Our murderous spies are people too, and they don't want to leave and you can't make them.
