Well, I don't see anything here yet, so here we go again. I am not their leader, I do not know which way they went. Hope everyone is having a good holiday!

Here is a small male Red-tailed Hawk of some flavor. It is not one of the fuertesi subspecies that are resident in my area. A winterer from elsewhere. The cumberbund of a belly band usually means an eastern type.

The title is an essay by Max Parry, Dec 2, 2019, at his home website at medium.com;  he’s kindly given me to permission to repost it.  He draws in many more elements and celebrity figures than I’d ever known factored in to make his case; it’s says it’s a 12 minute read but it took me longer in my dotage. 

Next week is January the traditional time we make plans for new beginnings and try to create new habits. The anticipation of brighter days as the the shortest day of the year moves farther into the past.

What was once considered virtually unthinkable may not necessarily be so. Clearly, many prognosticators were prematurely wrong in writing off Bernie Sanders in the 2020 Democratic Primaries. With the Iowa Caucuses a bit over a month away, the reality is quite different.

Having the most donations, the largest number of donors, and tens of thousands of volunteers ready to spring into action can no longer be ignored. Bernie is a real threat to the Democratic Establishment.

Boxing Day.

On the day after Christmas...

• In feudal times the lord of the manor would give boxes of practical goods such as cloth, grains, and tools to the serfs who lived on his land.
• Many years ago on the day after Christmas servants would carry boxes to their employers when they arrived for their day's work. Their employers would then put coins in the boxes as special end-of-year gifts.
• In churches, it was traditional to open the church's donation box on Christmas Day and distribute it to the poorer or lower class citizens on the next day.

Something to keep in mind…

This year we combined toy donations from our staff & amazing supporters, lined them up and let the dogs in our Rehoming Centre pick their own Christmas present. We hope this makes you smile as much as we did recording the dogs have so much fun!
