Is it a bluff or are we headed for war?
The summoning of 800 top brass in one place, the meeting with Nuttyhoo in the Oval office, the prepping of European hospitals for mass casualties, the verbal and physical posturing of Israel towards Iran, the pre-placement of troops in our most anti-war blue cities, naval warcraft gathered off the coast of someone else's oil deposits, and the media distractions lulling us into complacency, all spell something is about to happen. The pending shut down of government would be a most advantageous time to start a war.
All that is needed is a spark to light off a fuel drenched flag and set everything in motion on multiple fronts for the grand distraction and collapse. Or worse.
Watch your bank account. They are going to need money. Lots of money.
Watch what you say, record, or publish. Free speech is no longer. It has all been made illegal on a whim.
Not trying to frighten anyone, just advising a little preparation.
Have some light rain rolling through for a few days, not like the thorough drenching's in other parts of the country. Making big plans for maximum garden next spring because..... "reasons". Stocking up on seed now, even though it is for 2025. It's still good and half price.
Am going to try a winter crop of something, don't know what yet. Anybody have any suggestions?

What I am reading
about the big meeting with the military was that the officers were lectured on how soldiers should be physically fit and strong, no DEI, the unfit will be fired, fit only will be hired, and the scary thing Trump said is that it is good training for soldiers to become skilled by going into dangerous cities, such as Chicago. Hegseth made a joke: "You spit, we hit."
We are all being surveilled for pre-crime thought, and now, Trump wants us arrested for the pre-crime, which I consider jumping the gun, ya think? A crime for committing no crime?

Is new rules on censorship, making any speech that is anti-American punishable as terrorism. It is worded so vaguely that anyone saying just about anything is subject to arrest.

on The Burning Platform yesterday. It is very vague. It could get us arrested for making a joke.
We do need to be careful about what we say, at least until people start getting arrested, and their cases get dismissed.

There was, in fact, a change of policy in the White House. To the extent to which Moon of Alabama is right, it's that Trump has never been consistent -- but, rather, a little pat on the ego, and sure, we'll topple Putin. As Henningsen pointed out, it was cemented in when Trump visited the UK. Also, I guess the Pentagon is going to increase missile production, but the reason for doing so can't be about China, since the US cannot even win a trade war with China. So it's about Russia, Iran, and wherever else our 51st state wants to attack.

in last night's thread, but it really belongs here.
Today is the day. Today, all of our military leaders will be gathered in one single place in Quantico, VA. And Hegseth (and supposedly Trump) will be there as well.
I can't think of a similar situation since the entire Pacific Fleet was tied up alongside the quays on Battleship Row in that little harbor of ours in Hawaii, back in the 40s. And we had to work hard to make that situation occur.
Can't call that one a false flag- that was just a deliberate sacrifice, to drag the country into an otherwise undesired war. We have several more undesired wars pending: wonder how they'll do it this time?
Today is likely to be a very bad day indeed. I would very much like to be proven wrong about that, but my Han Solo bad-feeling-about-this sense is well and truly tingling.
The meeting may have happened already, and it may just have been all about Hegseth venting his spleen on LGBTQLMNOP people, and nothing else. But day's not over yet.

Trump has always been confusing with his constant flip-flopping. But it is in overdrive now. I feel like I'm on a merry-go-round, and every time I open my eyes I'm looking at something different. Can't focus on anything for more than a moment.
For want of preserving my sanity, I've started concentrating on a guillotine with me at the handle.

I believe those pulling the worlds strings is really old money trillionaires working from deep in the shadows out of sight and essentially appearing non-existent.
I wouldn't be surprised if even the Rothchilds answer to them. Magnificent wealth unimaginable to the common billionaire.
Musk, Ellison, Thiel are just pikers to the real wealth and power.
Just for comparison, the Saud King owns an entire country and it people. And everything above and below ground in Saudi Arabia. Easily surpassing a trillion dollars in value.

As to fall veggies...
We plant cabbage, a variety of greens, lettuce, broccoli, parsley and cilantro. We also have some garlic and onions interplanted. Normally we plant snow peas, but have not yet.
Good luck with your garden...a better focus than the military meetings and gov't shutdown.
