Rarely do we find men who willingly engage in hard, solid thinking. There is an almost universal quest for easy answers and half-baked solutions. Nothing pains some people more than having to think.
- Martin Luther King, Jr.
It has been fifty years since MLK was shot, with a gun. I stopped by the Raleigh edition of The March for Life. Thank the kids for the gumption.
Current events tend to be funk inducing.
It's about time some people join the club.
Heh, out of prose. Plenty of Memphis left.
Have a great weekend!

Good mornng!
An upper respiratory infection has sucker punched me, big time. So, that's the most coherent thing I can post today.
Have a great weekend, everyone.
Take Care

Good morning, Tim ~~~
I'm happy it's finally Friday! Thanks for the OT.
On Thursday, I was speaking to a millennial African-American woman who is new to my area and lamented the lack of a new leader for 50 years. This young woman looked at me and said - look what happened to MLK ( same response Obummer had). However, the hope in our conversation was that she came from St. Louis and I mentioned Ferguson (sidebar: she was surprised I had the facts about what went down) and she told me she protested - she is part of the black lives matter movement and I told her the millennials hold a lot of promise for our future because they are active. She openly wondered why and I said - because you guys have nothing to lose - our government has already put your generation in a bad situation - to which she agreed. The youth give me hope for our future.
Have a beautiful day and weekend, folks!

I am between green and rock (with a bit of lichen)
Assembling an expensive rock collection, mostly for what catches my eye. It's time to seed-start indoors, I have several Gro-lites. Snowing this AM, rain comes later today.
I have a good plan for showing the polished rocks (cabochons) but the slabs I am not decided about. And do I sort fossil vs crystal? A fine line. I don't want to use shoe boxes.
I think I got through my cash flow problem. Multiple steps, including a face visit to my credit union. We are only allowed 4 electronic visits/month or something where money transfer is involved. Banking and the chains put on CUs.
My mind works at slo-mo now. It's very frustrating. Some days are harder. Reading numbs it all. But I find every typo.
Bark pops of lichen are happening. I like maintaining lichens in my house. Their colors perk with water.
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.

Monday
is the start of my weekend this week.
Here's to delegating some tasks and sharing the weight. Music for energy. Turn up the volume.
Sup?

Hi all. Thanks for the OT, Tim. It seemss that the Bay Area is
getting clobbered with torrential rains. Hope it does more good than damage. I'm down in Indio around the corner from a date farm and purveyor of fruits, nuts and date shakes, where rain seems like something out of mythology. Supposed to get up 97, but it is only 74 right now.
Everybody have a good one.

I've been through Indio many times over the years.
I've watched it grow to the metropolis it is now. Last time we went to L.A. we came back to Tucson via Indio and the east side of the lovely Salton Sea. We stopped at Bombay Beach to take in the smell of the Salton Sea in the summertime and then to Niland, Calipat, Holtville and Yuma.
We wanted decent healthcare, a living wage and free college.
The Democrats gave us Biden and war instead.
We came out here from San Diego to get dates and stuff back
when there was nothng here but Hadley's, date palme and gas sttions. I know what you mean about watching it grow into a metropolis.
