Jordan covered an hour or so
of the noDAPL march. Starts out with the speeches. Looked like a little bad weather up your way. Hope you found the march to be of good spirit and energy. Thanks for going!

Meh. I get the news I need on the weather report. (-:
Thanks for being in D.C. to protest.
did you know the first a-bomb was made in Tennessee?
I didn't know that until I heard this song
in fact, songs are where I get all of my info.
No, but I had no idea there were songs related to the
atomic age, either. I guess I don't know a lot about that era, except that people were excited about building their own bomb shelters.
Good Evening Joe, nice topic, better news -

Greetings, Joe & Bluesters! Hope the protest
today proved to be fruitful. For sure, they often provide a good opportunity for networking, etc.
BTW, thanks for the Marvin Gaye tunes the other day. I was trying to remember if he was still alive, and found out (which seems vaguely familiar) that he was shot and killed by his own Father. What a tragic story!
We're having what I suspect is a final 'cool' snap, which I will totally enjoy, considering the fact that I'm already dreading what will likely be a long, hot, and humid summer.
Hey, Everyone have a nice weekend!

evening folks...
thanks for dropping by!
the dapl protest was quite interesting and we got to meet up with a bunch of water protectors and chatted for a while. it was pretty bitterly cold, but it was worth it.
@joe shikspack
Thanks for going, and for the video.
But it sickened me that, in a speech, a scrap of victory to be celebrated was on being able to sue after land was devastated, after the trees were clear-cut, after the water was polluted in yet another place and that the treaties which, like the US Constitutional rights of many of the non-billionaire American people, had been so continually violated, had at least been upheld by courts - albeit without preventing further abuses.
The giant, lawless corporations and their political lackeys must go while there's any chance of life's survival, ideally by making the owners, CEOs and major shareholders live within the devastated and poisoned-for-profit areas their greed creates with no more financial or other assets than the people they've victimized.
Edited to remove a redundant word.
Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.
A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.
