In Bridge of Ashes, Roger Zelazny, he posits that evolution on this planet, it has been produced and directed by extraterrestrials, who have deliberately nudged human beings into developing a technological culture that will inevitably render the earth unfit for human habitation. But will, and thereby, produce conditions that are just perfect, for these extraterrestrials. Who will then move in and comfortably settle down.

As of today, you still cannot legally be sold into slavery. (Except, of course, as a punishment for a crime. Which nobody's going to really do. They WILL pay you convict labor rates, a growing and vital part of our economy!)

As of today, you still will have a pension. (Admittedly, LESS than you did yesterday. But think of all those poor people who don't get any, and realize that you're better off!)

Why Paul Krugman is All In for Hillary

During the insanity of the Bush/Cheney years, Paul Krugman was a voice of reason. He fought back against the deficit scolds and zombie liars and austerians in the wake of the 2008 crash, offering clear, understandable lessons in Keynesian economics, lessons that had been conveniently forgotten and had to be fought for all over again. He went on television and faced down establishment doofuses on a regular basis. For that, he deserves thanks.

Face it, sometimes nothing works in one particular direction. Whether it's rhymes or a new subject to opine about, sometimes you need a new direction. And you have some pride, so you don't want to regurgitate last weeks leftovers. (At least two weeks for that sort of thing.)
