You may recall I had a house fire last November, and was not insured. Although the fire was an accident, the management company is pursuing me for $100,000.00. My contract job, which I though would carry me through this summer, ended suddenly in February. I felt frustrated, scared and broke. I really had no idea what I would do next. No idea at all.
As England moves inexorably toward triggering Article 50 many are seeing an opportunity to revisit the issue of what is a European Union. A problem, for example, is that the members gave up an important aspect of their sovereignty without the protection of having a true union. Our monetary system depends upon a creation of money algorithm that cannot exist in the EU as it is presently constituted.
As we look to the convention and beyond, I got to thinking the Political Scientist (UM - Dearborn) I am that in many ways we are lacking the tools we need to really take our work to the next step. When I look at the policy of Secretary Clinton, I am honestly most reminded of Governor Romney, and that brings up that were we need to target next is congress, since if the Democratic Caucus, is filled with Sanderites rather than Neo-Liberals we can pass our agenda even if Clinton is at the helm. To do this we need to arm ourselves with new tools, either by creating new ones or taking advantage of old standbys.

Since this primary season started, people have complained that the DNC hasn’t given Bernie a fair shot at the Democratic nomination. Now that we’ve witnessed it unfold, some are claiming financial damages and a rigged process.

Living with uncertainty is not really pleasant. People are waiting for indictments, Assange's email releases, suits to be filed, and so on. So much is in play that none of us really knows what will happen at the conventions and beyond. I'm obviously confused.
You see to me 'Liberal' means socially progressive and non-discriminatory, someone who's in favor of economic equality and the Labor movement, someone who believes in democracy and accountability to the electorate, a person who values courage and accuracy in reporting.
