Michael Volz, a 36-year-old transgender man, was leaving a fundraiser for Orlando victims held Wednesday evening at a nightclub when he was approached by a man of about 20 who said "Hey, Happy Pride" before grabbing the transman by the throat while yelling a transgender slur.
The transgender man was choked to unconsciousness and beaten. Then the suspect fled the scene.
Whether we admit it or not, the political revolution promoted by Bernie Sanders campaign for President has fallen short of its goal electorally, leaving many of us bereft of hope and direction. The fact that the primary was almost certainly stolen by the corrupt machine of the Democratic party, magnifies the sense of drift and compounds the seemingly endless success of the elites in frustrating even our most modest demands for a more just society.
I thought I would try to make some of the Green Party/Jill Stein's ballot access drives info more accessible. I have listed the deadlines for 27 states being pursued, and provided links to webpages that contain email addresses of state coordinators for ballot drives and contain Facebook page links.
By now we know that Hillary's and the DNC's hand-picked members of the DNC platform committee are rejecting the inclusion of almost all of Bernie's policy proposals and issues from the official DNC platform that will be voted on at the Dem Convention. It's pretty disgusting but not unexpected.
I can't find the reference right now but Sanders just flipped a heavily Hispanic congressional district in LA. I have been following the whole thing on twitter... Also a Congressional District in Oakland and San Francisco.
Everyone that reads this knows that success is in fact possible. Everyone that reads this knows that one person has demonstrated the ability to attract large numbers of people to rallies across this country.
It is not too late to take advantage of what "Everybody that reads this knows . . ."
Let's start with this piece:

There's a bunch to chew on in here. Let's start with the cash-on-hand situation:
Welcome to Sunday Brunch. This is an open thread so help yourself to the goodies and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you. I love to cook but with only two people in the house there is usually leftovers. Reid loves Corned Beef around St. Patrick's Day and I love Chinese BBQ called Char Siu. I have learned to make enough so that I can do more than one recipe using the meat.
