what one fired cartoonist says about Corporate Power.

According to this news article

Apparently after 21 years of cartooning, he was canned, for writing this

The Cartoon that ended a career

http://www.kcci.com/news/39341462

He poked fun at the CEO's of 5 major farm product companies and was sacked the next working day...

Pity this didn't happen before the Iowa Caucuses, it sure points out the issue
of corporate power.

The comments are something,,,,

but his Facebook page is catching on

Drove around my region with out-of-state family members this weekend, folks who rarely come to the flyover states. Driving through endless miles of fields, they asked, "Are these family farms." Those farms they were looking at were ethanol farms, the only issue that any republican in the state gives a fuck about. Cut education, services, roads, whatever. But keep the damn ethanol subsidy in place for the corporate farmers. They will fight passionately for those leeches while stuffing children into bigger and bigger classes.

There are many hardworking, salt of the earth farmers still doing their best to grow food here. Remarkable people who put up with all kinds of crap from people like Grassley and Ernst who happily spit all over "their" people as long as their contributions still come in.

I hate the hell out of "they get what they deserve because they voted in the Republicans" crap at the other place. I can guess it comes from people in comfortably blue utopias.

Ever tried to fight gerrymandering? Heard about the recent theft of votes in the primaries of multiple states this time around? Voter IDs? Closed polling places? Have you had your own party affiliation changed from Dem to "screwball" without your knowledge?

If only people who like to toss out the "They need to stop voting for these screwballs." would actually try to help those in the places that need it most. Or at least try to understand it's not so simple.

Ask Bernie if you don't believe me.
