Going to be a good day, winter is gentle, a few clouds forecast and Santa on skis makes his annual appearance. Those of you very close understand the personal significance, being back on my feet, walking without a cane, and teaching again; although with only the stamina for two/three hours a day. Smile

Hat-tip to the personal trainers, both physical and pulmonary rehabilitation specialists, the powerful drug made available by the 'Hill' team's extraordinary efforts in securing the medicine from Medicare and Plan D subsidy and most of all to the encouragement of good friends like you folks on C99 helping the spirit move onward in down times.

So, i'll be off early and return late. Music is in the air, enjoy and please bring some if you've the time.

Thanks for being here.

to hear such good news about your improved health, amigo! such an inspirational quote from plato, too. thanks for the picasso, as well. there are times, of course, when art seems to have sound accompanying it as well. guernica, for instance, might ping wagnerian opera.

learned from the war that seems to never end.

Love the flash mobs below, many thanks for bringing them; when the movement started, i spent hours in pleasure watching them, the spontaneity and clever staging enhancing me as well as the good music, bringing communities together.

Appreciate the good wishes and you good advise along this journey.

The Pachelbel Cannon is my most favorite piece of music, ever, so thank you for that great start to my morning.

Feeling Well
Oh glorious day
when I am able to breathe
when I am able to walk
when I am able to teach
unaided, under my own
power.

Beautiful progress, smiley ~ stay well, dear friend.

Enjoy the Saturday, folks! Pleasantry

@wendy davis like this and just showed up in a public space to play and sing some good music.

Look at the joy and bodies moving in the people of the square.

And see the musicians reflecting the joy back.

Win/win/win.

Thank you.

@Raggedy Ann
wedding, we had opera singers, friends, and musicians and the Cannon played in Bride's procession--always bring sweet and bitter tears when i hear it, love it really, as i do your sweet poems.

Have a wonderful day and week, vacation's coming soon. Smile

So glad to hear of the improved health, smiley.

I doubt this is the best approach for better health but laughing is good....

and back at it again. Be sure to take care of yourself and have a wonderful time of it. Thanks for the morning music. Last minute prep for another short trip here, so I won't be adding much. Just had to toss this in thought - The Zarzuela "El Condor Pasa" was originally written as imitative of Peruvian indigenous music from the Andes. The group "Los Calchakis" cut a lot of records doing their best to play authentic Andean music on authentic folk instruments and, of course, threw in that Zarzuela too.

Check out some of their other stuff some time. Back in the seventies I had several albums of theirs on vinyl and found it very good to listen to.

Have a wonderful day.

Or just watch. But one thing is for sure, "We got married in a fever" has got to be one of the greatest opening lines to a song these two ever sang.

So glad to hear you're having a good day!

Re-created that well known duet in the movie "Walk the Line", and although I prefer the original, this one was fun to watch for different reasons.

I loved the street musicians in Spain. Hadn't thought about that lately, but the Picasso painting triggered some great memories.
I never pass by a street musician anywhere in the world without leaving them a tip.
Must get to work!

don't think it's on my end, changing browsers and trying to connect in from google search or private browsing didn't improve the slow loading.

No biggie, thought you and all would like to know if everyone is having the same problem.
