I went over to the other place to post a comment on Shiz's beautiful remembrance of Special K in Flag (Kip Kelly). It sounds like he was a wonderful person in his real life and very devoted to his family. He was also one of our earliest members here, joining well before the great migration. His user name here was futbol dad and he was among the first 25 people to join us. While I did not know him personally, I found his comments closely aligned with much of my own thinking. I will miss Kip very much.

"Kip was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer in September 2016. He passed away on April 2, 2017, just shy of his 56th birthday."

I just got back from reading and posting a comment on Shiz's wonderful diary. Honest to god, the comment thread alone reads like a Kossack Hall of Fame!! I enjoyed reading all the old timers. Reminded me of the good ole days back when I signed on in 2008. 56 is way too young to die-period! We lefty futurists can't afford these losses with the tRump trainwreck infecting the WH. Rec'd!!
