We just recently got an internet connection in our new house. It's been a long and annoying transition, and that was why I haven't been around as much.
Nice to be back.

Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
The Yardbirds. I got to see them live in the sixties at the Avalon or the Fillmore, with Steve Miller sitting in just for grins.

and mick fleetwood ... the band failed, green joined john mayall for a while ... stewart kicked around for a while, then hooked up with jeff beck while green and fleetwood reunited to form fleetwood mac ... it's crazy trying to track all the comings and goings. ron wood was also in beck's band, which was the connection that eventually led to stewart joining the nascent Faces, to create one of the all-time great rock-out party bands.

still have it, and an Empire/Decca turntable/arm setup to play it with, though that interfaces through a computer these days.
I'd have to say though, my favorite John Mayall Bluesbreakers' album is Bare Wires, with Mick Taylor, who is probably better remembered for his years with the Rolling Stones, not surprisingly their best.

I love my parents' music.

My mom loved Patsy Cline
During our Saturday chores she would put her on and we'd clean house.
Another excellent celebrity who died way too soon.

I found this band through the later work of its members
After the 3rd time somebody said "and he was a member of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers" I went back and looked.

I was a huge Fleetwood Mac fan, as a teen,
(well, still), and that was my introduction...same as you, I went back and listened.

I can understand your feeling of nostalgia, at this time.
Be well, riverlover.
One outstanding one, on an album of greats ...
