Learning to walk again after cast!

Now being non-compliant and barefoot. A shower later, may take more than one today because. I bruised that heel with heel-walk in the cast. Clomp downstairs. Misshapen leg only took a few hours to reform. PT in my future. I hope to get a few plants in the ground today, but it depends on my foot. TY all who warned of the urge to overdo! Now, barefoot, balancing is the first act. And then recalling that eventually I will not have to adjust for a leading and a trailing foot.

My Azorean beef stew turned out well. Allspice, cinnamon and cumin. Forgot to add garlic, but the taste buds are overwhelmed already. Definitely not mother's pot roast with the ole can of Campbell's mushroom soup mix.

A peek at my foot. It's quite swollen on top. I take a body warning from that to do no more harm.

Shoveled shit for Elvin Bishop

One weekend when I was a teenager. He lived in Mill Valley, down the street from Grace Slick. I think he recruited us the night before at some show, but can't remember exactly. I lived in Tam Valley and went to Tamalpais High School, briefly. heh

We cat fished at Nicasio Valley Reservoir, they didn't taste too good. Pretty muddy. Scary ancient looking things too. Anyway, we kids darned near killed ourselves hauling 5 gallon buckets of manure from a truckload on the street, down stairs to the "vegetable" garden. lol I know Gracie lived up the street 'cause she drove by during the day and we all just plotzed about it, starstruck.

While I'm name-dropping, did I ever mention I came this close to meeting Sweet Jane, same one from the Grateful Dead song? No cigar, instead I had to wait outside in the car, near Fairfax. hmph still a thrill, back then. Okay, enough wayback talk. Here's to the future. Cheers!

Rachel Aliene Corrie

Rachel Aliene Corrie (April 10, 1979 – March 16, 2003) from Olympia, Washington, was an American activist and diarist. She was a member of a pro-Palestinian group called the International Solidarity Movement (ISM). She was killed by an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) armored bulldozer in a combat zone in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, under contested circumstances during the height of the second Palestinian intifada.

She had come to Gaza as part of her senior-year college assignment to connect her home town with Rafah in a sister cities project. While there, she had engaged with other International Solidarity Movement (ISM) activists in efforts to prevent the Israeli army's demolition of Palestinian houses. According to the Israeli authorities the demolitions were carried out to eliminate weapons smuggling tunnels. According to human rights groups the demolitions were collective punishment.

Less than two months after her arrival, on March 16, 2003, Corrie was killed during an Israeli military operation after a three-hour confrontation between Israeli soldiers operating two bulldozers and eight ISM activists.

Google and Facebook duped in huge 'scam'

In March, it was reported that a Lithuanian man had been charged over an email phishing attack against "two US-based internet companies" that were not named at the time.

They had allegedly been tricked into wiring more than $100m to the alleged scammer's bank accounts.

On 27 April, Fortune reported that the two victims were Facebook and Google.

Whoopsie! Let me just say this about that; part reasons why I am divesting from credit cards is, the latest fraud, omg eff you see kay! Yes, they removed the charge and extra interest, but when I talked to the "security specialist" about the source of the charge, like who was the source, local, online, what? His response was "Ma'am there is absolutely no way we can tell the source of the charge" and that did it. Informed him I used to work back-end IT for financial services, including a check guarantee service, kthxbye. Even support is clueless, on purpose I think. What a mess. Credexit YES, and look over at opensecrets once in a while, if you want to get money out of politics. Google, Alpahabet, and Facebook why not. Amazon? I just copied the 12 step (no kidding) HowTo delete your account from a wiki online. Had that thing for twenty years and look what I help Bezos build. Sorry about that.

My approach to divest is easier I think, because low income. But the people keeping them profitable are the ones who can make a dent, make them change or gtf out. Thanks.

Developers could be put to better use I think

@enhydra lutris It's been a long time since I did any developer support, what happened to ethics? Maybe someone here is around the Bay Area and knows enough to say more about it. How did we get so many assholes writing surveillance code, and crap censorship algorithms? Bad robots! Too much money I guess, same root of every problem so far. At least we're consistent. ha

I think low income is harder to do. Could be wrong.
I'm moderately well off ( S.S and union pension) and found it easier to pay off bills and mortgage. Did have to sacrifice for two or three years though.
I have much sympathy for those low income folks who keep getting hit with med. bills and inflating prices on EVERTHING.
But we have to starve them of interest income. It's how they control us.
In open revolt, I tried to sabotage my credit rating to 0. But was told it can never drop below 400. My thoughts were nobody could use my credit score to open a fraudulant account. Heh! What a scam.
