"Russian interference" is the "aether theory" of US politics

No matter what problem the US is facing, its always the Russians' fault. The Russian Interference (RI) theory, like the aether theory (see NOTE-A), while never supported by evidence, must be assumed as true if one is to publish in the corporate media. Therefore it is baffling, but not surprising, that the despicable John Brennan is being attacked for attacking Donald Trump for being a Russian stooge.

Got that straight? Brennan is being attacked as a Russian stooge for attacking Trump as a Russian stooge. Don't believe it? Here is a story about the accusation, made by one Daniel Hoffman, former CIA station chief in Moscow (what, me paranoid?):

“This dispute that’s going on raises two issues,” said former CIA and National Security Agency Director Michael V. Hayden. “Number one is, look, the Russians are doing things to mess with our heads and to divide us and so when we get into this kind of discussion, however well merited it might be, it does seem to push the Russian agenda a bit.”

“At the same time, we’re allowed to speak out and to argue. The Russian objective may well be to get us to argue with one another and here we are in this argument. But that’s not an ironclad argument against arguing,” Mr. Hayden told The Times...

Nick Shapiro, who formerly Mr. Brennan’s deputy chief of staff at the CIA, took issue with Mr. Hoffman’s “logic.” “One could even argue that it is Dan who is doing Putin’s bidding by criticizing Brennan for criticizing Trump, as Russia seems to welcome any and all discord and since Putin and Trump seem so closely aligned,” Mr. Shapiro told The Times.

Daniel Hoffman says the former intel chief is aiding a Russian plot to deepen America’s partisan divide

ANY disagreement in US politics plays to the advantage of Russia, and therefore was caused by Russia. Note that both sides in this pissing contest take RI for granted, and use it in theological arguments about who should be excommunicated. I haven't seen a Party Line like this since the days of Joseph Stalin. We don't know who is a traitor until the Politburo CIA tells us who is one. The brain vomit by Mr. Hoffman is beyond parody. It is as if another dog accused the poopers of forwarding the Russian agenda:

Pooped in Hall

Now, all this back-ward insanity is playing out in the rightwing propaganda shop, the Washington Times (See NOTE-WT), founded by the Reverend Moon (of KCIA infamy). But, these days, crazies like the WT are no longer fringe. They are the new "mainstream" media that the various oligarchic factions use in their fights to control our government.

We have show trials, like the one where Facebook was forced to generate uncompelling statistics about RI, which were inflated into "proof" by the CM. Of course, when Cambridge Analytica was revealed to be the real manipulator, the instant response of the corporate media was to play "six degrees of Kevin Bacon" with CA. The formerly honorable UK Guardian published this drivel:

Cambridge Analytica: links to Moscow oil firm and St Petersburg university

How can a sane person play in this world, where lack of evidence is evidence of supreme sneakiness, where an attack against B for supporting A is instantly reinterpreted as doing B's bidding? Unfortunately, unlike physics, political theories can never be disproven. As long as there is a supply of rightwing propagandists, Occam's Razor can never be applied.

Political discourse in America today is a complete looney bin. It can only be understood as a vicious knife fight among the oligarchs, using corporate propagandists and tame Congress critters and FBI/CIA operatives as weapons. It can be understood as an American version of Stalinist Russia, as portrayed in The Death of Stalin, an excellent black comedy, which others have noticed parallels our current situation.

Ordinary citizens are well advised to applaud when Comrade Stalin Hillary enters the room, ostracize anyone she even frowns at, and generally wait to be summoned to NKVD FBI headquarters to be interrogated and shot.

No politician, certainly no Democrat, is speaking out against this spreading, infectious paranoia. It is just a (currently) less murderous version of the Stalin-era Soviet Union. There is no Joseph Welch to ask our modern day Senators McCarthy "Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last?"

This country is done. Stick a fork in it.

NOTE-A:

In the late 19th century, luminiferous aether, meaning light-bearing aether, was the postulated medium for the propagation of light.[1] It was invoked to explain the ability of the apparently wave-based light to propagate through empty space, something that waves should not be able to do. The assumption of a spatial plenum of luminiferous aether, rather than a spatial vacuum, provided the theoretical medium that was required by wave theories of light.

The concept was the topic of considerable debate throughout its history, as it required the existence of an invisible and infinite material with no interaction with physical objects. As the nature of light was explored, especially in the 19th century, the physical qualities required of the aether became increasingly contradictory. By the late 1800s, the existence of the aether was being questioned, although there was no physical theory to replace it.

The negative outcome of the Michelson–Morley experiment (1887) suggested that the aether was non-existent, findings which were confirmed in subsequent experiments through the 1920s.

NOTE-WT:

The Times was established by (Rev. Sung Myung)Moon to combat communism and be a conservative alternative to what he perceived as the liberal leanings of The Washington Post.

There is even a daily newspaper—the Washington Times—published strictly for the movement's benefit, a propaganda sheet whose distortions are so obvious and so alien that it puts one in mind of those official party organs one encounters when traveling in authoritarian countries.[Thomas Frank, The Wrecking Crew]

#MeToo movement is ‘Kremlin propaganda’ says Russiagate conspiracy theorist Louise Mensch

If, like most people, you were under the impression that the #MeToo movement is about exposing instances of sexual harassment and abuse, you’d be wrong. It’s actually a Kremlin plot designed to bring down great American men.

That’s according to prolific tweeter Louise Mensch, the former conservative British MP turned Russiagate conspiracy theorist. Mensch tweeted out her theory in response to allegations of sexual assault against New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman by four women.
...
Mensch has emerged as one of Schneiderman’s top defenders on Twitter, because, in her infinite wisdom, she knows what’s really going on here: Accusations against Schneiderman are nothing more than a Kremlin operation to remove him from his post as Attorney General and prevent him from further investigating Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and other Trump associates.

It’s not just Schneiderman, though. Minnesota Senator Al Franken resigned last year amid allegations of sexual misconduct — and that was all part of the Russian plot, too.
...
She has also put forward the conspiracy theories that Russian President Vladimir Putin had conservative journalist Andrew Breitbart murdered, that Trump has secretly been impeached and replaced by Utah Senator Orrin Hatch and that Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is a Russian agent.

When The head of Moscow CIA station is on the same page as Mensch, it is scary.

This is the Democratic platform, whose only contact with reality is money. It is otherwise invisible.

The site is now behind a paywall.

I agree with him that the US will have a USSR moment (societal collapse), and that its increasingly clueless citizens will die like flies because they have lost basic survival skills (like growing their own food, and cooking) and supportive communities.

One of my biggest gripes about Russophobia is that it is an insult to the Russian people, who are incredibly tough, smart, and resourceful. They beat the Nazis. They survived Stalin. They beat us into outer space. They survived Yeltsin and the West's looting (Shock Doctrine). After all that, their truncated (gave away Ukraine and all the "stans") country has made a spectacular comeback in less than 20 years.

All the US sees is another victim to be strangled and looted. The Russians already saw that, thanks to Uncle Adolph, and they will fight to the death, AGAIN, to prevent that. Meanwhile, America is full of miseducated dolts who are massively obese and addicted to their cellphones. Unless the US wants mutual nuclear suicide, the Russians and Chinese are going to survive and prosper, while we rot and starve.

But try explaining that to Joe Sixpack, or any Clintonite at GOS.

are a much tougher and resilient people compared to the dumbed down American population. Both have been put to the test in the last century.

Orlov charges 25 cents only if you want to view his latest article when he publishes it. You can read all his previous writings for free if you scroll down to the bottom of the link and click on the Blog Archive. Some of his writings show remarkable insights.

False Flags for Newbies

He also periodically collects his writings into book form and sells that. One has to make a living.

I haven't looked at how Orlov wants to get his micropayment.

I refuse to use PayPal, because a)profits go to that Libertarian ideologue, Peter Thiel; and b) because they reserve the right to stop paying people for political reasons.

I suppose I should buy a book or two.
