A Quickie for Tricia

Go say goodbye, OK?
No, not that kind of quickie. I have to work today, so can't stay long.
But for those of you who haven't heard, Daily Kos' beloved Pootie Queen, triciawyse, passed away about a week ago from complications from pancreatitis. She was in her 40s.
Her funeral/memorial service began this morning at 10 AM, as did our memorial service over on DKos. Her family will be reading that diary later.

I didn't know her
I never read her diaries. I just wasn't interested.
I must say though, as one diagnosed with pancreatitis at age 6, she certainly has my sympathy. My pancreatitis disappeared with puberty. Yet still I know only to well the physical pain of the affliction. I regret now having not stopped in to get to know her. Turns out we DID have something in common other than politics.

I think this was a more acute type, and there may have been some medical mistakes, although I didn't want to ask too many questions of her grieving family and friends. Her diaries were/are silly, but a welcome break from the pie wars, all the more important during primary season. And the comments include trading pet stories, so a real community has developed within the splintering political community, helping each other out, sharing laughter and losses. She was too nice a person to go so soon.
