I see neither Preston Picus or Chris Wiggins on this list despite both being Bernie-supporters who are on the ballot in November...

i did 100% of the ones with ActBlue pages (spent 5+hours checking 100's of names to see if they had a page)

i think for 2018 we need a more robust open system and actBlue seems to be were most of the candidates are right now for 2016

Pramila Jayapal (WA-07) is running for Jim McDermott's old seat against another progressive Brady Pinero Walkinshaw.

I've switched to Brady because he endorses our carbon tax initiative I-732 and Pramila - along with a bunch of the Dem establishment - opposes it, because having an effective carbon pricing model is not as important as trying to raise taxes in the most regressively taxed state in the nation.

The Green Party has also endorsed I-732,and Brady's signs are green. It's only a matter of time...

I had already checked the position of, and voted in the primary for, a candidate on the list. I had already agreed with him before this list came out.

Now is running against a well established incumbent Republican, so will see.

this is a bottom up campaign for 160 progressives nationwide.

I think there are more ways to count victories than winning an election…..Kind of random, and to me that is the perfect way to support those candidates. Candidates that felt ignored by their party in their primaries. Funding today (and certainly at $1 each = $160 contribution) is not necessarily about winning, in what is for most candidates, their first time out.

It is more about building a national base of progressive candidates that are not strangers to campaign demands. Personally i believe extremely progressive candidates in extremely red districts usually move the discussion left in all the districts adjacent to the one with the election, as well as the one with the election. Even the smallest of budgets with messages and heart can often make a bigger difference that anyone can see at the time.

Sadly, i think that once we only support the few people who might win (as in "let the experts decide"- and "not based on a candidates values - just electability") we have already lost....

for me it is also about small victories, focusing on almost random acts of kindness, paying it forward, when my heart still seems broken from many events that have happened in our elections this year

It took the Repubs damn near 40 years to oust Dem rule. We should be able to get it back in ten. And, speaking of 2018, I can't think of a better time to start than right now.

To tell you I would rather give my money to a roaming band of gypsies before I support another fucking "progressive" politician in the Democratic Party.

And for posters who missed your last thread, they may find the comments you made over at The Progressive Wing about the members here at C99% eye opening. I know I did:

like the fascist boot thugs they are, stomping out free speech wherever it can be found what is happening at c99 very sad and depressing

Good thing that stomping all over your Freedom of Speech doesn't seem impede your ability to post your "progressive" propaganda over here, eh?
