PDX Meetup Time and Place

I suggest the next PDX meetup be on Sunday, October 30th at 1:30 p.m. I propose the Taipei Noodle Haus. It is at 11642 NE Halsey St., Portland 97220. http://taipeinoodlehaus.com/ At the link, click on 'contact us' for a map. It should be fairly easy to get to from freeways, and reasonable by bus.

This is the time that seemed to work for most of the people who said they would like to come. The restaurant is recommended by Willamette Week in their 2016 food guide. It is said to be influenced by Chinese and Korean. Noodles are their specialty. For those who don't want to eat, your presence is still wanted.

They will hold a table for us if we call ahead, but that will mean saying how many people to expect. So it may be better to just show up since some people may not be sure whether they can make until last minute.

I hope this is enough notice for people. I'm dealing with leaking drainpipe(s) and wet floors in part of my house this week, and it has absorbed my time and attention. I almost with it had been a roof leak, as I first thought, because that would have been much simpler to fix.

I'm looking forward to seeing a bunch of you soon.

Was thinking of dropping in on an old friend at the Body Mind and Spirit festival.

Having two things on that side of the river should get me out the door and across the river.

I surely understand how hard it can be to leave home when you're all relaxed and comfy. That is me sometimes. But I live alone and do crave adult conversation.

good luck with your drainpipes etc.

We were fortunate to get someone out here today to re-tarp the roof. Otherwise we'd be bailing!

I'm counting on your date coming, want to meet the person behind wise comments. Hurray for your roof fix. I hope it kept you dry. Boy did the rain come down!
My leak was found and fixed yesterday morning. I have a fan going to dry out wall. Repair was courtesy of my son and his ex father-in-law. Grampy loves this sort of project and they dealt with every single plumbing related issue in the house, aerators on faucets where missing, washers replaced on drippy faucets etc. I am a happy woman.

Bringing my son and his grampa. Grampa isn't sure it's a good idea to drive all the way to Portland for lunch with people he doesn't know, but he spends most of his time alone. So Matt and I decided to bring him along.

That was almost 20 years ago. I've met almost all of them now and they are our family now. Biggrin

I can switch my Sunday pre-noon hours with someone.

A humongous THANK YOU to our dear Gramma for doing this. An even bigger hope that her leaks get unleaked. We faired well in the "storm" of the century.

I knew it was a little early for you, but was attempting to accommodate people driving long distances and hoped you could manage.
I'm glad you made it through the storm okay. My leaking pipe was found and fixed.-- I'm in the running fans to dry things out stage. Only bad part is closet had to be emptied, and I broke a toe bumping into shoe rack yesterday.
(Bleach water works well on mold on wall surfaces.)
