OT ~ Welcome to Saturday Morning!

Sit-a-while

on swinging porch

where tin-dippers and

sweet water

in cool touches

meet lips

from hand dug wells.

Good morning good people

Trying to use a DSL hook-up, swear-that in the day, I could go faster with a cursor and blank screen. Most of my usual links won't load at all.

I'm down the mountain at my Mother's home, middle of nowhere; she was placed in hospital Wednesday, been a trying two weeks, getting to this point.

At 89, her heart and sadly, brain, are failing, many sleepless nights waiting for this inevitability. She's beyond the capabilities of homecare and as many of you have also experienced, Dementia is a gut-wrenching emotional experience.

Overwhelmed, perplexed and presently covered-up in making arrangements for Memory care, will need Medicaid within 6 weeks and as she has no estate planning of any kind, she has few resources to work with.

Son is coming tomorrow.

Off to hospital.

Don't wish this to be a downer for your day, just thought you all would appreciate knowing.

Life moves on, catch the pulse today and enjoy living.
Love and peace.

The floor is yours!

I went through this with my Mom this January.

The best thing you can do is love her as much as you can with the time you have left.

It will be painful. For me it still is.

Hugs

I want a Pony!

You have so much on your plate. Best of luck to you and best wishes for your mom. I can't think of anything worse than dementia.

Sorry I stepped on your OT. You didn't post last Saturday (this would explain why/we were a little worried about you) and when it got a little late today, I thought you might still be tied up. I tried to help and got in the way.

That, in its essence, is fascism--ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. -- Franklin D. Roosevelt --

I promise to stay out of your way next Saturday.

Theresa May is regarded favourably by 39 per cent, down two since the last time the Favourability Index was compiled in February, but now she is regarded unfavourably by 42 per cent, a rise of 10 points.

Labour just one point behind

Labour is now just one point behind the Tories in a dramatic new poll five days before the general election.

The Survation poll puts the Tories on 40% with Labour on 39%.

This is an astonishing collapse in the Conservatives' poll lead, which stood at 24% near the start of the campaign, according to some organisations.

The survey was carried out today to take into account the impact of last night's BBC Question Time leaders special .

Corbyn hass young vote

The ICM poll, commissioned by anti-racism group HOPE not hate and supported by the National Union of Teachers (NUT), found 63 per cent of 18-24-year-olds said they were “absolutely certain” to vote.

And, of those planning to vote, 67 per cent said they would back Labour, compared with just 16 per cent for the Conservatives and eight per cent for the Liberal Democrats. The Greens and SNP were both on three per cent, with UKIP and Plaid Cymru on one per cent each.
